I agree it wasn't a bad midget fight but I would still rewatch many heavyweight bouts before this.

It is just a matter of what you like. To me a big part of what makes boxing so great comes from the excitement that you don't know what to wait for. That on any gives second ne guy could land a KO shot. That usually is not the case in midget fights. Many people like to see plenty of punches thrown and landed and that is cool t me, and fights of these small men offer you just that. Personally I don't find it that interesting

 

No, wrong. It's just, smaller guys are tougher and have more heart than bigger guys, that's why you dont see as many KO's, although Vasquez quit, he didnt quit the way Wlad quit against Byrd, a bleeding nose hurts more than a torn rotater cuff.

It is a good comparison yes. A middleweight is much bigger than a flyweight.

And your average national level pro middleweight would beat the fuck out you and anyone on this board, and a world class flyweight batters an average pro middleweight.

A world class super bantam would batter the fuck out of you in under a minute, and anyone else on this board that's not a pro fighter. I would bet any amount of money on it.

 

I agree to a point, I have seen trained fighters around 160 or so whup bouncers who were 260 (in a boxing match)
but if some here are TRAINED and pretty good and are THAT much bigger than some of these guys.. who knows? now in a boxing match.. most likely the "midget" will win

 

I've seen a guy that fought at featherweight as a pro beat the fuck out of 250 lb guys on the street. With ease too.

It's just a competely difference level of fighting.

Well, we're talking about guys whose walk around weight is a rock solid 175 pounds and averaging about 5'10"-6', you think most of the guys here are bigger than that and in a comparable shape? And that's without mentionning the skillset the regular pro has, which isn't slightly comparable to the skillset regular joes have. Have you seen JMM (a midget) completely toy with that 6'3" writer who even trained for that sparring session? Even with that big size differential, Marquez was going easy on him and the guy was stumbling from one corner to another. I think you don't know what you're talking about.

 

I KNOW he doesn't know what he talking about. Even if he trained for a few months, he'd be beaten with EASE by any of the midgets he speaks of disparagingly.
