Welcome guys. You probably haven't had a boxing predictions league in quite some time. I'm guessing most of you will not compete, but some of you will. We have some intriguing matchups coming up, especially this month (September), and through to December. I will update this thread each week with scheduled fights/results and of course update your scores from your predictions and put them into a table. You get what I'm saying. Hopefully if things go to plan this season will last for 11 weeks and at the end we should have a winner. So if you're up for entering that would be great!! We'll start on Saturday 7 September with two fights. Points System: Correct Winner = 5 pts Correct Outcome (UD, SD, KO) = 5 pts Correct KO Round = 10 points Correct Prediction of Draw (TD or DQ) = 20 pts Table (After Week 14) Jimmy - 295 REEDsART - 245 cdogg - Not sure if this was asked or mentioned in the other thread, but when will be the deadline for the picks to be in?
It hasn't been brought up until now. I would say get your picks in asap or we could say by Saturday 12am (B.S.T)
I don't watch boxing nowhere near as much as I used to, so this league would be a nice way to get back into it. Wondering about the deadline in case I have to squeeze in some last minute footage/research on the boxers. Last two Arreola fights I saw were against Vitali and Adamek, and I've never seen Mitchell fight, though I remember reading here on the forum his last fight was shit and it was the rematch of a fight in which he got KOed in. Haven't seen Burns or Beltran either, just remember Burns name being thrown around for Broner before he moved up. Looking forward to this Jimmy, thanks for putting it together. artie:
Good man :bears: Seth Mitchell fought Johnathon Banks in a rematch in June. I'm not sure the rematch is on youtube but their first should be up. Burns' last fight was against Puerto Rico's Jose Gonzalez, which is up on youtube. If you type in Raymundo Beltran into youtube you'll find his fights.
Just to let you know, I will be on holiday from Thursday 5th to Tuesday 10th, but I WILL update everything on the 10th.
Burns UD Arreola KO 9 it doesn't matter in week 1, but you're going to have to take pm's for predictions to prevent lead protection and intentional catch up strategies. Perhaps that's not the goal, but determining who picks best should be the goal, imo, not who is able to adjust their picks and luck out.
Dudes like Brother Sly TALKED about their Fight Predicting Prowess, yet NEVER Entered Prediction Contests...Others like to Monday Morning QB it & Claim "Stupidity", to Anybody who Dared to Pick So & So...But they NEVER Enter these Type of Contests Either... Look At 'Em...SCARED NOW...SCARED of the Big, Black, preDICKtion Contest...The Contest Will FUCK YOU Til You LOVE it, FAGGOTS!!!!... REED:fightme:
NO way Seth last more than a few rounds.....I didn't predict round 1 because the mejican Areola was fucked up badly in his last fight..so he might come out a bit shy....but Seth chin is weak like hanzy's anus muscle...
