Cotto beats Hatton, because of styles, due to being bigger and stronger. Would be a GREAT fight though.

Hatton is, however, a tougher fight for Floyd than Cotto is and Hatton would beat Shane.

 

right now phonetap thinks cotto would maul hatton but he'll refrain from an absolute opinion until after the mayweather fight.

Hatton wouldn't beat a prime Shane, but he would beat Today's version. Hatton has insane stamina and workrate and isn't easy to hurt.

Shane would have beaten...Donald Curry, Lloyd Honeyghan, Mark Breland and a few others...to answer your question

 

Hatton is the better inside fighter. Cotto is the bigger puncher but Hatton is freakishly strong for his size and his fighting tactics, ugly as they may be, are very difficult to overcome up close. Hatton has an endless stamina and his busier hands would wn him the fight

If the ref does his job, Hatton leaves the ring spilling blood.
