OK , Here is round 9 .... This is a round where all you Floyd guys think Floyd CLEARLY won ... Whatever , I'm not debating who won the round ... I thought they both sucked ... However , I want you to really see just how many punches Floyd misses over and over again ... His jab CONSTANTLY falls short and those that don't hit glove ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viAGFIQBhCo
Hardly anyone disagrees that Mayweather missed a lot of shots and that Oscar's parrying was on point. What most people here (and on all the other boxing forums I've visited) believe is that De La Hoya lost because he was even LESS accurate than Mayweather.
ODH wins the rematch. can't wait. hopefully, we won't have to wait another year. if we do, i won't care by the time it happens. i'm hoping for a september rematch.
I wish I had some other rounds to show . There were rounds where Floyd missed even worse ... However Youtube has pulled all the clips ... The thing is , Floyd got credit for those worthless punches ..
No he didn't, that's why two of the judges had it so close at 7-5 for each fighter. If he had gotten so much credit for it, it would've been 9-3 like some people had it for PBF, or more.
Dude, You said that DLH was going to dominate Floyd in this match. You acted like Floyd had NO chance.
Seriously man , that round sucked so bad , it wasn't really clear either way .... If you thought that round was so clear and cut in Floyds favor , you are obviously very biased ...
You are also forgetting that was one of Floyds good rounds and one of Oscars bad ... Like I said , I wish I could post a few other round but , youtube pulled everything ..
and now i'm saying he wins the rematch in a close fight. i already said PBF surprised me. i didn't think he'd handle ODH's power the way he did. he took a few solid ones that i didn't think he'd stand up to. he did. i give him credit. now it's time for him to be out-pointed.
What ? All the work ??? Are you NUTZ ? What work ? Lets get something straight. THAT ROUND SUCKED .... Period ... No-one did much of anything ... The fact that you just automatically gave that round to PBF in a clear cut fashion shows how biased you are ... No fucking way that round was clear ... The round sucked so bad that it was very hard to score. How you came to a clear cut Floyd round is beyond me .. You say Floyd did all the work (what work ? ) Niether did much. DLH pressed all the action what little bit there was ..
I'm not sure about the rematch. I can see Oscar being a little more active with his jab and the judges looking for reasons to give him rounds due to the "controversy" of this fight, but can Oscar pull another performance like that at this stage in his career?
Yeah but this is round 9 ... :: Youtube pulled everything off. If I had a choice , I would posted a round Oscar won with ease ... ::
Round 10 is the most dominating round....Oscar won 5 rounds IMO, but Mayweather dominated Oscar in round 10.....lead rights...jabs to the body, Oscar would immediately drop his guard to protect the body, Mayweather went to the head w/ lead rights..it happen 2 or 3 times...and DLH went for it every time...
That was pretty close. Oscar won most of the first minute, Floyd won most of the second minute, and Floyd BARELY wins most of the last minute. Floyd lieterally won that round by a matter of seconds opcorn: I can't believe I watched that shit again....
I hope whoever posted that round aren't one of the same people who were saying the HBO announcers were biased towards Floyd.
C'mon this is HBO. They have always ridden Oscar's nuts hard. They certainly weren't biased in Floyd's favor. I guess the best scenario would be to have Kellerman down at ringside squealing about Mayweathers "genius in the ring" while Lampley acts like he's getting zapped with an Orgazmatron every time Oscar throws an arm flurry. I might have to kick my TV screen in, in disgust................but at least it will be fair.
:: :: :: historically, that's been the case. but Lampley's biggest loyalty is to HBO. and that's probably why he spent the fight calling out punch after punch thrown by PBF that hit nothing but gloves. see. Lampley doesn't really watch the fight. what he does is to pick up on clues and hints offered him by Merchant and Steward, and then based on these, he interprets and articulates what's happening in the fight. and more often than not, he's completely wrong and misleading.
That's pretty much how every round went in the fight... Oscar pressing forward and landing shots to the shoulders and gloves of Floyd.. Floyd missing potshots with the occasional one landing clean. The fight basically was: Clean Punching - Floyd Effective Aggressiveness - Oscar (Floyd had no aggressiveness) Ring Generalship - Oscar (Floyd moved backwards almost constantly while Oscar kept the center of the ring) Defence - Floyd (low % landed by Oscar)
