Shame. I was hoping UFC would destroy its credibility and allow Overeem to fight.

The thing about Mir is that he is a very smart guy. Unlike Cain, Mir will go into this fight understanding he can't stand with JDS. And Mir has really spent a ton of time working on his wrestling since his loss to Lesnar.

It has been a long time since Mir lost to someone that wasn't huge and a world class wrestler. And Mir has proven that he can wreck ANYONE if he gets it to the ground.

Frank will sell out to take JDS down. If he does, the fight is interesting. If he doesn't, he gets knocked out badly inside of 3 minutes.

Good for Frank. He deserved the shot.

So the big question now is "Who does Cain get?"

    Any guesses?

Cain vs Carwin would be a fun one to watch. I still can't believe Carwin took that whole asskicking from Dos Santos. Tough guy.

What do formerly slim, but now cartoonishly muscular 265 lb fighters Alistair Overeem and Frank Mir have in common?

I think Mir was already around 245 lbs in his UFC debut. So I don't think I'd ever compare him to Overeem being at 205 and bulking up to 260. But you're a proven retard so I'll let the ridiculous comparison slide.

That being said, Frank bulked up pretty significantly after the 2nd Lesnar fight to a point where I think he actually cut down to be under 265. So maybe he did something at that point in his career. Who knows?

But earlier, prior to his accident and immediately after, Frank Mir was one of the least suspicious looking guys around. He was soft, not extremely defined and his weight was consistent with where he started.

It is a shitty fight because JDS will murder Mir in 2 minutes but if not Mir then who?

Looks like Dana White is struggling to get some stars in his heavyweight division if the best he can come up with is Frank "Mur".
As if people would pay $50 to see this hack in a title fight. I got nothing against Mir but he's a gatekeeper at best.
I'd probably be more interested in seeing Antonio Silva or Josh Barnett against JDS. Funny how Dana White insists he's got the best fighters in the world. He's got the best fighters in the world but the only guy he can get to save his piece of sh*t ppv is f*cking Frank Mir?!?!?!?!
I think the cheapskate cueball foul mouthed motherf*cker needs to spare his next Ferrari and use that money to start signing more heavyweights in his otherwise sh*tty division.

Frank Mir is fresh off submission of the year when he snapped the arm of Big Nog. So basically, Frank is coming off the biggest win of his career. Not to mention he also easily beat Roy and knocked Cro Cop in his 2 fights prior to Nogueira.

I don't think Frank would ever have earned a title shot again and this is a stroke of great luck for him. But I wouldn't say he doesn't deserve it. He certainly does.

And I can already see the UFC playing up the whole " Frank Mir broke the arm of Junior's idol and now Junior is out for revenge" angle.

LOL... This card lost a ton of luster with Overeem getting popped but it's still has 4 interesting HW fights on the main card and possibly 5 if they find a decent opponent for Cain. My gut tells me Hendo. If that's the case, this card becomes very interesting again.

'Ridiculous comparison' and then you agree with me.

I obviously have gotten under your thin skin with the ufc shill allegation (because it's true) and you are looking for any excuse to menstruate. Why don't you wait for me to say something you don't agree with before you go bitch next time? It's not like it will take that long.

I'm trying hard to think of 2 or 3 HW's fighting somewhere else that could crack the top 10 in the UFC.. Cole Konrad is probably the best out there and he needs a ton more work before he's close.

So I'm curious, who should Zuffa sign exactly?

Just give me two names that could crack their top 20 and I'd be happy...

No I said your comparison falls completely flat because Overeem was 205 and suddenly grew to 260-265..

Meanwhile Mir has always been over 240-245 in the UFC.

So go get an adult to do the math for you and they can explain the difference.

Under my skin? You don't have near the intellect or ability to argue to even come close to getting under my skin. I've whipped your ass easily in ever single point we've ever discussed.

Oh, and this is another one. You made a shitty, speculative comparison with zero basis in fact. Typically moronic crap from you. Unless of course you have some proof that Mir juices. Surely you would imply that without something?

And by the way, what kind of pale, skinny, weakling would try to imply that Frank Mir has "cartoonish muscles".... LOL. You must be a toothpick. Seriously, in your tiny little mind, do Mir and Overeem really look similarly ripped?

    :laughing::laughing:

So you don't think Mir has used any PED's? That's what you're saying, right?

Damn, you are dense as granite.

I don't have a clue. Do you? Do you have anything whatsoever that proves Frank Mir has done PEDS??????????

But what I do know is that he was never slim while in the UFC, and he never had cartoonish muscles.

So here's what I am saying, and read it several times so it sinks in:

    YOUR COMPARISON IS SHIT!!!!!

LOL.... I guess. If NOT thinking a comparison between the growth of Overeem and Mir is the same, call me a shill.:rock1:

Pretty sad when so many people in the sport are being suspected and busted for using PEDS. What a mess.

I guess it's win win for me. On one hand, I wanted to see the UFC take a steamer on its reputation. But on the other, at least one of the mega events of the year is off. So I guess I'm cool with this.

Mir looked awful in the Nog rematch. His glass jaw was once over exposed as a major, major flaw. JDS should crush him

Indeed, singling out MMA as a beacon of PED in the otherwise clean realm of professionnal sports is beyond ridiculous.

The Ufc is a joke for replacig overeem. damn I wanted to see that fight. Mir -JDs is simply uninteresting and scream of 30 seconds ko.

BTW triplesec stop kidding yourself, Mir is also an obvious juicer. they should stop testing for this PED nonsense, what a waste of time and money

    OK... If you say so.

Naturally being an Overeem sack rider you want to believe everyone juices so your boy doesn't look like the cheat that he is.

I understand. Good luck with that.

How much 'hard muscle' did Frank Mir gain and in how much time?

Is it tough for a 245 pound guy to gain 15 pounds?

You're right, I'm not an expert. But at least Frank Mir hasn't hidden in Japan and the Netherlands to avoid piss test.

The minute Mir fails a test or flies out of the country to avoid a test or starts fighting bums in Japan, then I'll be on-board with you. Until then, you can speculate if it makes you feel better. And you can pretend that Mir's transformation is in the same universe as Overeem's.

    Geez.
