I remember when Manny was still at 130, many on here believed that if he moved up 135, the Baby Cow would be too much for him. In retrospect, that almost sounds comical now. Manny woulda KO'd the Cow in 6 rounds TOPS... probably earlier.
Hmmm...could be a blowout early for Pacman or a close competive decison for Pacman.... Marquez fights alot different that Pacman does, he broke him down through body punching and his great arsenal of punches... Its different....Plus Diaz has a very good chin...but I still see Pacman winning no matter what.
Diaz's chin isnt great. Pac would be hitting him with shots he wouldnt see, and unlike Marquez... Manny isnt a slow starter. So Diaz jumping him early, only means that the Baby Cow gets laid out earlier.
Not great, just very good. And X I agree I would not be surprised for an early KO for Pacman, but if he can get past those first 6 rounds...I can see this bein competitive...but no, I can't make a case for Diaz winning...ever. Doesn't hit hard enough, and his aggression plays way too much into Pacman's hands, and eventually, will get hit with too many punches.
Diaz has a history of fading late bro. Manny is non-stop furry for 12 rounds. Whether its early rounds, mid rounds, or late rounds either way... Diaz gets laid out at some point. Given Diaz's early agression, and crappy defense... I say the early-to-mid round Manny KO is most likely.
You are probably right, like I said, I don't disagree with you. Actually I think you are more than likely right...I agree you convinced me, I say he don't go past 6. Would be very fun to watch though, even if onesided.
For the record, I never thought Diaz would beat Pacquiao in 1000 tries the speed difference here is substantial I think Pacquaio would jump all over him and blast him out in no more than 5 rounds Diaz has nothing for Pac to respect, hes average defensively, he is a light puncher, hes not really fast I think Diaz gets obliterated here
Pac would have trouble with the forward aggressive style of Juan and find it hard to get off. After about 3 rounds I see Pacquiao going into a shell and losing a wide decision or getting stopped late.
At Lightweight, Diaz did succumb to Marquez's punch in simply spectacular fashion --- one has to wonder what his reaction to Pacquiao's power would be. Not good, seems the inevitable answer. I will say, in Diaz's defense here, that he has the volume to stay with Pacquiao on activity, but that's about all. He hasn't got the punch, he hasn't got the defense, he hasn't got the strength, nor the whiskers. We all agree Pacquiao is too tall an order for him, but I cannot see how some of you see this as a decision. Diaz has to go, somewhere between the fifth & eighth rounds, with a small window of opportunity for an early, Hatton-style knockout in Pacquiao's favour. I'll give Diaz seven rounds before he's either pulled out by his corner, or the referee stops the fight.
