well, doesn't appear as though margarito's not getting licensed in texas anytime soon. where else would arum land this fight? the phillipines? that's a dangerous one for pacquiao's home coming event and i highly doubt this would take place in mexico. manny's also running out of names at 140 or 147. he might as well fight for a title at 154 vs. yuri foreman should he beat cotto.
pac would destroy him. Too much speed and foot movement. and he doesnt get tired. Look at what Cotto was doing to him before he got tired. Imagine Pac who is ten times faster and has ten times the stamina. I would love to see Margarito destroyed again.
i dont know if margarito is the same guy anymore, but if he is close to what he was then a fight against pacquiao would be more action packed and entertaining than the clottey fight was.
They should let Margartio have his "special" wraps for this one fight. It's the only way to make this fight even marginally fair.
Valero, Alexander, Bradley all at 140 would be tremendous fights. All ACTION packed and highly technical. If Pacquaio can sell out Cowboy Stadium with Clottey, he could carry those 3 into highly LUCRATIVE fights. At welter only Mosley and Mayweather, perhaps Berto, holds WBC belt, would be significant fights.

I wouldn't go that far, but it would put me off Pacquiao is he fought Plasterito. He should flat out refuse to have anything to do with him, and Arum is a cunt to continue promoting him. Promoters, networks, etc etc should just completely shut plasterito out, and effectively ban him from boxing if the commissions aren't going to. And ILLU - no. Plasterito without his magic wraps looked like fuck all against Shane. I don't want to take away from Shane's superb performance, but Plasterito looked like a bum. Without his magic handwraps, he would present no challenge to Pacquiao whatsoever. It wouldn't look dissimilar to the Clottey fight, but Plasterito would be walking into punches instead of blocking them with his gloves, and he'd at least pretend to be more aggressive than Clottey.
Bob Arum would do this. I hope to god Margarito doesn't get that kind of payday after what he did. He doesn't deserve it.
