CEO Michael Lodge of VisionQuest has reported that Manny Pacquiao fired his company, which had been auditing Pacquiao's financial records.
"There has been a lot of pressure upon Manny from outside sources to remove us from his accounting team. Our firm will deal with this issue in a legal manner." The firm had been on the job for mere weeks.

A press release from Pacquiao's official website, www.mp8.ph, stated that VisionQuest had been retained to conduct accounting examination, personal and business tax audits and contract reviews.

As early as seven years ago Freddy Roach, Pacquiao's inimitable trainer, warned of financial troubles for the Filipino sensation. These warnings later proved prescient as Pacquiao waged battle in court for remedies from his then management team, M&M sports and Murad Muhammad.

In an August 20 interview appearing on the Bleacher Report, Roach proclaimed that Pacquiao is broke. He intimated that Manny's political campaigns coupled with his unstoppable generosity had put him in a position where he will "have to keep fighting".

Pac will never keep his money. He's always had too many outside influences. Mostly non-boxing related.

He reminds me a bit of Alexis Arguello, on a bigger but less politically charged scale.

Get a real cause. Being black doesn't have to mean being obsessed with race and the possibility there's people who don't like you because you're black. Especially in this day and age when your cause has been reduced to trying to police other people's thoughts. I don't agree with it, but people have a right to their biases, and thinking that you can guilt them into thinking otherwise, as if there's some up-side in doing so, is silly, a waste of time, and shows an unhealthy amount of concern on your part for what other people think. Plus, it's a waste of your time and it makes you look foolish and insecure.
