I predicted Marquez would beat him by a narrow margin in the first fight. I also think he will win by a slim margin in a rematch.

It's not all about how Pac performed last night. I think he did well. Barrera fought "not to lose" at times. Part of the fight was Marco's "negative" fighting, and the other half was simply smart strategy. No matter which way you choose to look at it though, he was able to neutralize many of Manny's rushes.

I think Marquez is fresher than Barrera and is much better counter puncher, especially at this stage. I see Juan Manuel taking better advantage of Pacquiao's misses than Marco did. ("pulling the trigger")
Also i don't see Marquez getting blitzed the way he did in the first fight. He knows what to expect. Knowing what Manny is going to do, and preventing it are two different things of course.

I think Marquez has the ability and skills to "diffuse the bomb" as Merchant put it.

Lets see Pac in with a hungry Guzman or Soto. Guzman would beat Pac IMO. Soto would at least be competitive.

Although Pacquiao beat Barrera more easily than Marquez did...based upon styles and what I saw of Pacquaio last night...

If Manny fights Marquez that way...he could lose a close decision.

I predict another 11 rounds to 1 type of victory for Marquez like in the 1st fight, only this time without the knockdowns.

Marquez looked like shit against Barrera. He's an old man. Why would you pick him over Manny Pacquiao? That simply makes no sense.

Everyone's concentrating on how Pacquiao looked last night, but come on. He looked a hell of a lot better than Marquez did against Barrera.

He looked marginally better against Barrera than Pacquiao did. However there are different styles at play.

I like JMM's style to do better than Barrera's did against Pacman.

I see it as a narrow points win either way, i simply favor Marquez.

That is a valid point, but Pacquiao beat the hell out of him in their first meeting. Pacquiao has improved since then, and Marquez has gone downhill.

I've been saying that for month's but they don't wanna hear it.Its like he's there only hope against the evil empire that is Pacquiao:lol:,the haters rest all there hopes on an aging fighter who had a close fight(Fuck the scorecards)against another old fighter,he's not the same fighter he was the first time they fought and that's not a good thing if he's going fight him again and I've been following marquez since he was an up and comer on USA Tuesday night fights:lol: I see the decline clear as day.

A lot of people have recognized and stated that Marquez is in decline...it's just that the favored reaction to any suggestion of JMM slowing is that they're just setting the groundwork for excuses after the fight.

Personally, I would rather see PAC fight Guzman. I think Guzman beats JMM anyway. However, if PAC goes to 135 a showdown with Juan Diaz is a FOTY candidate.

JMM was the man to beat PAC and he should have in the first fight. But he didn't. I just think the window of oppurtunity is closed or closing very fast for JMM. He just doesn't look like the same fighter anymore.
