now here's a juicy mouth watering fight if ever I've seen one. Pacquiao handled Mosley better than Canelo did and Pacquiao looked badass against margarito who was a huge fighter...still Canelo is not just bigger than Pacquiao but he's far more skillful than a guy like margarito. What transpires?
I assume we're talking about 09 Pac moving up to 154? In which case, I'd pick Pac. Too fast of both hand and foot for the lead footed Ginger. And Ginger doesn't have a physically imposing, pressure style like Margarito. He's a counter puncher. Prime Pac nails him with straight lefts down the middle, and right hooks, then steps him around him all night long.
I'd pick Pac via UD. Manny at his best in 09 was just a better fighter than Canelo. I think the hand speed would put Canelo in a shell, and Canelo isn't a good enough counter puncher to catch Manny when he's wide open.
Pacquiao of 2009-10 beats Canelo by a fairly wide decision. Simply a better fighter with huge advantages in foot speed, hand speed, and stamina. Canelo is a solid counterpuncher but needless to say, he's no JMM. As someone said on another thread, he's a "ponderous counterpuncher".
