According to Arum, THIS is the fight that he really wants and that Khan is not the front runner. :atu:

Personally, I think this is dangerous for Manny at this point. I think Lucas could knock him out and send him on his way to retirement. 2009 Pacquiao is no longer here.

As for Khan, he's running out of excuses if this fight gets made. Can't keep ducking and dodging the top welters forever.

Even if Pac loses on Saturday, who's to say that the Bobfather won't make that fight??? He's done it before.

Arum knows that BUSINESS WISE a fight with Pac and Lucas is HUGE no matter what. Two slugging styles, knockdowns possible, pretty much a guaranteed war.

Styleswise, it's easier for Pac than the likes of Brook and Crawford. Also, it would be more appealing than a fight with Khan because Amir would just look to use his range and stay outside and make it boring.

I would not bet against this fight being signed. Especially knowing that it would be easier as opposed to Arum dealing with Haymon.

Great fight. I still make Pacquiao the HEAVY favourite. He'll put this guy away in 8 rounds.

Matthyssee, isn't as scary as y'all make him out to be. Old Zab Judah beat him and Garcia handled him.

Admittedly I haven't seen that fight, just going by the record books. However at the very least Zab lasted the distance with him, was competitive and Zab was old at the time. As such, I don't see how he could stop Pacquiao.

Pacquiao stop Matthysse in 8? GTFOH! This isn't 2009 anymore. Pacquiao isn't stopping any quality fighter at this point. Not even a guarantee that he BEATS Matthysse at this point. But Neil is correct, it's no sure thing Matty Ice beats Postol. Postol is a good fighter.

I'm more than willing to, but let Matty Ice get past Sat night first. Postol is being underrated. Most view Matthysse as a huge favorite, but I don't see it, and I'm a Matthysse fan. I think he's only a slight favorite, and I wouldn't be at all shocked to see Postol win.

But to be quite frank with you though, I don't give a flying fuck about seeing Manny fight anymore. Personally, what I'd love to see is Crawford-Mathhysse.

Yeah Manny just goes through the motions these days. Not saying I wouldn't watch it but I wouldn't be that bothered if Pacquiao didn't fight again

Whenever someone fights Mayweather they get underrated immediately after. They are either called shot, green or useless. As Roy Jones would say: "And they got the nerve to say I aint fought nobody, I just make them look like nobody. Y'all musta forgot"

Manny Pacquiao is still one of the top fighters in the world, and a class above Matthysse.

It's a style match up that definitely FAVORS Pac but he has slowed down and Lucas punches freakishly hard.

But X and Neil are both right. Let's wait till Saturday night t see what happens with Postol.

Man, check my posts, I was saying it well before the Floyd fight. I've been saying it since the third Marquez fight actually. It has nothing to do with Mayweather.

I think Pac bounces Matthhyyssee up and down like a basketball. But yes, Saturday is no gimme for him.

i think arum would rather push pacquiao into a fight with crawford than matthysse. he gets more money off a promotion with both his own guys rather than cutting the dildo recipient in for a matthysse fight. plus if crawford wins he has a new star to build his company around

I think Crawford's youth and hunger would carry the day against Pacquiao.

Stylewise, that's a more difficult fight than Lucas.

crawford struggled with the movement and speed of gamboa. he'd have the same problems with pacquiao, who is also more solid and durable than gamboa.

Xplosive sees a fighter lose and all of the sudden he is not "elite" and loses to his current favorite undefeated p4per who has not beaten anyone

Even Today's Version of Pacquiao Beats Matttttthhhhhhyyyyyssssse...

Sure, Manny's LOST the Killer Instinct, but Lucas' Style is Such, it Could BRING BACK the Inner Beast in Pac...Manny's NOT Going to Timidly Allow Lucas to Walk him Down, Dropping Hard Shots on Him...Before Looooooooong, Manny Will Nod his Head, Bang his Gloves Together & Look to HURT Matttttthhhhhhhyyyysssse...

Pacquiao by Late KO in a VERY Fan Friendly Fight...

    THIS...

Manny Hits HARDER than Gamboa Also & Isn't Nearly as Undisciplined, Defensively...Crawford's Technical Wherewithal Could Very Well Lead to Pac's Undoing, but REED FAVORS Manny Right Now...The Sooooooooooooner the BETTER Though, from Pacquiao's Vantage Point...

I don't know. The physical punishment Pacquiao took from Floyd's running away could have ruined him.

False. Go back to earlier threads. I said Crawford would beat Pac BEFORE Manny lost to Floyd.

Yall have the current Pac confused with the 08-10 Pac. Is he still fast? Yes, he still has well above average speed, but he can longer dart in and out at odd angles the way he could 6 years ago, and he's a lot more hittable now.

Crawford would beat him up late after struggling early.
