^^^^ You know Neil, your prediction might be attacked by a few due to Vargas being KO'd before.

I do think Vargas would be able to beat Pacquiao, though. He wasn't a bad boxer at all and he has more than enough pop to keep Manny honest IMO.

    Hard to Say...

REED would Actually FAVOR a YOUNG Vargas Over Any Welter Version of Pacquiao...But Any Version of Vargas Post-Trinidad, Probably Gets KO'ed by the Welter Pac...

By 154, do you mean Pacquiao forces him down to 150?

Difficult fight for Pacquiao I think in my mind, Vargas's style, size, and energy would be hard for Pacquiao to overcome.

Unlike Tito, who Pacquiao would run circles round and make look like the overrated, plodding left hooker that he was.

    In your dreams

Trinidad at either 147 and ESPECIALLY at 154 knocks Pacquiao silly.

Vargas would beat him too but not as bad as Trinidad for sure.

Prime Vargas is too big and too strong and although he was a hothead outside the ring he was pretty focused inside. I still think the fight would be competitive, but Vargas wins clearly.

Manny beats the version of Nando that got beat by Mayorga which means next to nothing.

Pacquiao would beat Tito easily. Far too fast, mobile, and unpredictable.

prime vargas implies a young pre-trinidad version who is also allowed to take the performance enhancers he used against the fishnet adorned scumbag

Imagine how easily Trinidad would have destroyed the likes of Hatton, Margarito, Bradley, Marquez, and past prime Mosley.

Gotta Admit, it's HARD Imagining Tito Losing to ANY of those Names...Most of them WOULDN'T have Come Anywhere NEAR '47, if Tito was There Waiting....

    Exactly

This is what I always point out when people match Pac with welterweights from a much better period

There have been loads of welterweights who would have dominated that quintet

I think Manny would've won a close UD. He would land more punches and bother Vargas with his speed, angles and stance.

From that list the only one that might give him some trouble is OLD Mosley....

    Ricky Hatton? REALLY?
Margarito? He won't go easily he will land some punches, maybe a lot...but what he will take in exchange will be unbearable..
    Bradley? Come on...
Marquez? He wouldn't last 3 rounds with Trinidad...

    Vargas by KO over Pac.

Trinidad kills all of those guys.

But of the current crop, it goes without saying that Floyd would embarrass Tito.

    That's Floyd Mayweather, though.

    Pacquiao doesn't beat him either.

I think many people go overboard when talking about this fighter ruined him and this and that. Vargas was not ruined after Tito. The man won his next 2 fights and lost in another classic with Oscar De La Hoya. (No shame)He started to slip but still won what 4 fights over the next 4 years and In between we know Vargas injured a disc and broke his hand so he was starting to get sidetracked anyhow. Vargas was slipping even more During his bouts with Mosely and he stopped Vargas with their first fight being a closely contested one. That's once again 4 years removed from his defeat to Hoya and 6 years from his defeat to Tito. Lets just say Vargas post 2006 would have been KOd by Manny Pacman. Any version between Any version of Vargas from 03 to 05 loses by decision. However Vargas from 1998 to 2002 stops Manny PAC or punishes him for an easy decision

Lets not overrate Manny at 154 for stopping that cheater Margarito who accomplished nothing at 154 anyhow

 listen this dick rider attempting to spin things to imply dildo recipient ruined vargas rather than trinidad.

you think vargas has to get off the deck to beat wilfredo rivera if he had faced him prior to facing trinidad?

Manny didn't stop Margarito though he did beat him from pillar to post.

That said, Vargas was never quite the same after Trinidad. But a lot of it had to do more with his lack of discipline. He often entered training camps way over weight and that also had to affect his punch resistance and stamina.
