I know this is my second Wayne McCulloch MM but I just remembered this was a fight I really wanted to see when Ingle was champion, before his unfortunate fight with Botile. The styles would have meshed nicely for this one, who do you see winning?
McCullough wins, because Ingle was fairly average. Back when I was a student, I worked in Scarborough and drank in the pub that Ingle owned. It was about the time Botile crippled him. A terrible shame, no doubt, but Paul was a good fighter and no more than that. Wayne has too much power and too punch punch resistance to let Ingle take a punt IMHO. MTF
In fairness, McCullough had roughly as much power as a self powered digital watch. Though his work rate and toughness might give Ingle problems, like Medina, I think Ingle would be too big and eek out a close D.
I would venture than a shot Junior Jones hit a lot harder than Wayne to be honest, I don't think that would be a factor in this fight. Although he was eventually stopped he took Hameds power better than most for 11 rounds. I could see Wayne maybe scoring a flash KD but I can't see him stopping Ingle.
I might be wrong but I seem to remember Hamed bouncing Ingle around en route to stopping him. It was a while ago so I could be wrong... :dunno: Really, I should stop posting when I'm drunk... MTF
I think Ingle gave Hamed a very good fight until he got stopped late but I could be wrong. I'd pick Ingle over McCullough, I think he was a better fighter. The Botile fight was tragic... It ruined both men, Ingle in the worst way of course.
Hamed dominated Ingle early, flooring him twice, then Haveebs night-manoeuvres started catching up with him, he got tired and he was maybe one clean shot from being floored when he timed Ingle with a single left and ended it in the 11th. I would favour McCullough, 115-112.
