that's cool i just found it funny people believed he would be able to throw 100 punches a round like he did against Margarito against a slickster let alone one on Floyds level... :notallthere:

Thing with Paul is for some reason he thinks he's a power puncher so he went away from his advantages and decided to trade. I was impressed with him when he fought Margarito but tonight he reminded of the Sharmab Mitchell fight where I came away rather unimpressed. He needs to stick with using his height and reach because not only is he not a good power puncher but he also is very bad fighting aggressively.

The good news is we don't have to worry about hearing how avoided he is anymore as he will now have to get back in line. He's lucky he wasn't fighting Clottey tonight because he might have gotten KO'd.

Based on tonight, Williams would get schooled by Cory Spinks, let alone Floyd.

Umm no he wouldnt. Cory would score on Williams at will. And Williams doesnt have the speed, or power that Zab possesed to catch Cory. I think Spinks would embarass Williams.

Spinks would run 2 minute miles against Williams. If Running laps of the ring landing a couple of jabs every round is scoring then sure your right. Anyways its a fight i don't wanna see. Spinks doesn't deserve to have a tv date wasted on him. Williams is real entertaining and fought a real determined fight tonight when he went behind early.

Spinks would have no reason to run from Williams, cause Paul cant hurt him. The only reason I'd venture to say Williams could win a few rounds is cause Cory fades. In the rounds when Cory's on, he'd EASILY outbox Williams.

I was one of those who believed Williams would be Floyd's hardest test!! But until tonight,I was just dumbfounded on how EASY he gets hit against southpaws:doh:

I alway's thought his reach was his best weapon, but obviously it's not. Outside of the fact that he's a goddamn Light Heavyweight:lol:

When Corys on he is running for his life. He could fight a 118lber and hed run for his life hes scared to death of getting hit.

Anyways like i said the fight won't happen. HBO aint putting him on their air again. Hes been in too many garbage fights. I loved how HBO booted him from the Tito-Jones U/C.

I don't recall mayweather fighting williams last nite, some guys here would like to add williams to mayweather's virtual resume, the list of guys he would beat so easily that there's hardly any point....its the same rubbish we had with Roy Jones for so many years, every time one of his suggested opponents got beaten (e.g. Jirvov vs Toney), it was subsequently all about how Jones would have smashed him or countered him to death etc....

Williams is still a difficult night for any welterweight, he had a very bad night however, he will be there or thereabouts again soon

You need to post a little bit more often.

"Virtual Resume".....that about sums Floyd up when it comes to guys like Mosley, Williams, Cotto, Quintanta, Margarito....he has them whupped already so where is the point, right?:dunno:

    Awesome post

It really is becoming exactly the same as Jones. He doesn't need to fight anyone, because he'd beat them for sure, so what's the point

Fraud beat a p4p fighter in his last fight, that is incredible, I don't give a fuck if it's Ivan Calderon, it's still p4p.

    Floyd would SCHOOL Paul Williams...

Williams Obviously STRUGGLED w/the HANDSPEED, COUNTERPUNCHING & RING GENERALSHIP of Carlos Quintana...

Floyd is SUPERIOR to Quintana N EVERY Regard...ALL Quintana Does that Floyd DOESN'T is Fight Southpaw...

vs Floyd, Paul Williams would win 2-3 Rounds MAX...

AgREED. Williams had more gaping holes in his defense last night than the Bunny Ranch. Floyd will pot shot his ass all night long.

    Another virtual win for Floyd.

So when is Floyd fighting Quintana?

Or.....did Quintana lose a fight in the last 6 years which disqualifies him???

I've said repeatedly that Paul fought Quintana differently than he did Margarito. As usual nobody responded.

If Paul fought Floyd the way he fought Margarito--using his height and reach, clinching when he gets in trouble--he makes it a much tougher fight for Floyd. I don't see Williams winning, but I think he'd make a good account for himself.

Only way I think Floyd would "school" Williams is if Williams fought aggressively like he did yesterday.

It was really a step up for him, figuratively and literally. I used to talk shit about Floyd beating Casper the midget, but since Floyd pitched a shutout against a TALL southpaw no less last night( some say the ref was in the bag and should have stopped it in the fourth)....you have to give Floyd props, even you kauki :nono:

Williams fought Margarito that way because Margarita is w/o skill. Quintana has skill, and we all saw Williams had NO success with him from the outside. Last night just proved that size, height, and reach are all overrated, and will be beaten by skill almost everytime. Williams' reach and height are irrelevent cause he doesnt know how to use it. He doesnt have the skill set, nor the brains to be a threat to Floyd. Money May would have a field day on him.

BTW - am I the ONLY one who noticed how Quintana was able to man handle Williams on the inside? For such a "big" guy, Williams' skinny ass isnt very physical strong.

Oh yeah, Floyd also easily handles tall fighters with reach more easily than those who don't.

Until I see Quintana or some other smaller "skilled" fighter beat Williams when he's fighting with height and reach, last night won't have proved shit to me.

Also how can you say that size, height, and reach are all overrated in 1 sentence, then in the very next you say that Williams' reach and height are all irrelevent because he doesn't know how to use it? You can't have it both ways.

On top of that you're flat out wrong on both accounts because Williams showed perfectly well he knows how to use them when he fought Margarito. He stayed on the outside and whenever Margarito got inside Williams clinched nearly everytime, something he obviously didn't do last night since you so candidedly pointed out how Quintana man handled him on the inside.

Why don't we just stick to what I've been saying. Williams fought Quintana differently than he did Margarito. Now had he fought him the same there's no guarantee he would have won, but the fact is he fought differently. I should have seen this coming too because in interviews he was saying he was going to be sitting down on his punches and using his "power:rolleyes: ".

Great chin? Really? I didn't know Quintana was a big puncher, because if that's what you're going by I'd only go so far as saying Paul has a pretty good chin. I also remember Sharmba Mitchell cracking him a few times but Mitchell isn't a big puncher either.

Quintana's a BETTER than Average Puncher...Ditto for Sharmba...

& While Margarito ISN'T a "Puncher" N REED's Opinion, he's NOT the Type of Guy U Wanna Take ALOT of Shots from...Yet Williams DID w/Out Budging...Margarito's a BETTER Puncher than Quintana & Sharmba, Definitely...

Williams PROVES his Chin by the AMOUNT of Shots he Takes Over the Course of a Fight...Combined, Margarito & Quintana Probably Caught Williams w/50 FLUSH Shots to the Grill...

He doesn't LOOK like it, but Paul Williams has a GREAT Chin...

Floyd now holds a victory over Williams because he would be able to do what Quintana did.

Floyd also beat De La Hoya, who almost beat Mosley, who almost beat Cotto, so Floyd also holds a win over Cotto.

Thus, Floyd has nothing more to prove in his division

REED Sees your Point but @ the Same Time, did we REALLY Need to SEE Floyd TOTALLY OUTCLASS Baldomir to ACCEPT it Beforehand:dunno: ???...

Some of Us KNEW that he'd OUTCLASS Baldomir All Along...

Based on STYLES & HOW Williams REACTS to "Boxers", it SHOULDN'T Take Sherlock Holmes to Figure Out that he'd Struggle MIGHTILY w/Floyd Mayweather...

Quintant SEVERELY Affected Williams' Punchrate & Williams CANNOT PUNCH to Save his Life...Not to Mention how POROUS his Defense is...

Sorry, but there's NOfuckingWAY he Beats Floyd Mayweather:nono:
