I don't have to tell you this would be an ugly fight. I'd favor Paul who'd keep Spinks on the end of his jab all night and limit his oppurtunities.

Williams. Too busy and has fast enough hands to keep Spinks frustrated on the outside.

    Williams via UD.

yes sir. Williams is a better offensive fighter, but has yet to prove he can deal with a mover like Cory. All he's fought are cats who stand in front of him. Margarito is obviously the best he's ever faced, but not unlike any other style he's previously faced.

Cory's faced just about every conceivable style, and has come out aces more often than not. Of his four losses, only one can't be challenged - the Zab rematch. He doesn't get outboxed very often, and Williams is defensively challenged enough to where Cory can play touch and go for as long as his stamina holds up.

stinky nearly beat taylor who's bigger, stronger and probably better than pee wee.

only way to beat stinks is if you're lightening quick and punch hard. williams is quick, but he's not as explosive as judah nor does he punch as hard. i'd say stinks beats him to the punch and wins a boring ass decision.

yeah but can you imagine in your wildest dreams PW fighting the hesitant and puss fight that Taylor did against Spinks? Hell no. Williams would go after Spinks and his freakish height and reach (he's even taller than Taylor) would give him ample opportunity to find Spinks.

yea act like paul williams is some sort of a badass. he has one significant win and he did so by a skin of teeth. i'd wait until a couple of more fights before hyping him up.

WHen has Paul ever kept ANYONE on the end of his jab...let alone a quick, fast-footed, defensive fighter like Spinks who can move in and out so quickly?

Williams is a very busy fighter. I think he'd win a boring ud vs Spinks. I don't know if he'd be very effective, but Wiliams would be the only one punching and pressing the action .

hyping him up because i'm picking him over Spinks? you act like spinks is some great fighter. he's not. and a fighter the calibur of PW would beat him.

short of getting KTFO, Spinks will never be dominated because he's a stinky machine. but that's not the same thing as nearly beating someone.

I can see The Punisher beating Spinks - but it ain't gonna be by "keeping him at the end of his jab."

I simply think Williams activity and sheer workrate will win out in the end, especially as Spinks fades in the late rounds due to stamina.

But it will very often be an inside fight - and Williams will HAVE to depend on workrate because he will be looking a bit foolish for long stretches.

    Peace.

Williams beats Stinks on sheer activity. Mayorga almost did. Williams will slap out 100 punches per round easily. Stinks doesn´t even throw 100 in a fight.

100 punches wouldn't help him as he wouldn't land any of them

I think he'd be more aggressive against Williams, who doesn't commit to his punches as much as he should, unless he's in there with a tremendously shot fighter. Even then, he leaves himself wide open for counters, in situations where he has no business getting hit.

People keep pointing to his fight w/ Margarito, hailing it a schooling and some sort of masterpiece. I saw a guy doing pad drills for most of the fight. Not saying he didn't win, he did. But it wasn't a runaway, and as much as he threw, he didn't land a whole hell of a lot.

Yup...he's not all that accurate, even with his biggest shots.

    BTW - I had Williams-Margarito a draw.

    Peace.
