Hang on a second, the top of his head used to be COMPLETELY bald, smooth as a baby's arse.

Has he had some kind of hair treatment?

Lockett looks like he can take a punch. I am looking forward to this fight.

BTW, MWS, how come you never answered my question in that Alabama_Man thread about high class cities. I took a little bit of offense to that. :warning:

He can take a punch but has no skills, but he too can punch.

At the end of the day, his sparring partners are Macaroni, who hits harder than pavlik and calzaghe, who is faster than pavlik, so he will be confident coming in.

After the first 30 seconds he will realise that he has no chance.

That sums Gary up quite nicely.

He should make it through a few rounds, and he DOES have a slight punchers chance, but by SLIGHT I mean somewhere around 2%.

It's hard to have a punchers chance when you are being pushed backwards constantly. Besides that Locket seems to be a good bit shorter than Pavlik and will have a hell of a time getting past his jab to land anything.

I think that this fight will be more competitive than people think.

i'll be going to this fight since it's in AC. hopefully this brit won't fold early and at least provide some sort of an effort to make it entertaining while it lasts.

Thoroughly Dympeople, sometimes I don't mind adverse beatdowns of my favourite fighters, and sometimes I say silly and vunerable things on messageboards, just to bait a brutal ownage. It's like, a strong jolt of pain in the heart Dympeople, making it hurt, just to feel alive.

It will be an even fight up until the staredown. Then Pavlik beats the shit out of him.

It is a terrible fight, but I think the reason Pavlik is getting no flack for it is because he's fought Miranda, Taylor, Taylor back to back.

He deserves to destroy a bum.

I disagree on the principle that NO champion "deserves" a fucking gimmie fight, jut because they had a couple of toughies. Thats such bullshit and it's part of the problem with boxing.

If you're a champion, NO fight should be anything but against the best.

    Fair point, I don't disagree.

I guess it's just what I'm used to, world champs having gimme fights.

And I guess as long as it's only ONE at a time, it could be worse.

What starts to piss me off is one gimme after another. Like that smurf for example.

I have less of a problem with Abraham than I do with Pavlik for the simple fact that I consider Abraham the #1 contender, not the champion. It's a sucky situation for our sport (IMO) where this kind of thing goes on and nobodies is upset enough about it to simply not watch. We know what should happen and we know that the fight shouldn't be happening at all....but we still watch.

I'm not. Not this time. This is a bridge too far and its as good a place as any to start.

I disagree with you disagreeing with the principle that a champion does not deserve a soft touch every now and then. I mean how can we expect a champion to fight top contender after top contender. The dude does deserve and a soft touch and he's earned that. Hell you have champions that milk their titles with meaningless title defenses. By the way boxing is back baby! I'll Holla 5000
