Whitaker at all weights. He’s the better fighter. Camacho at his best gives it a decent effort but he’s clearly beaten.
Camacho had one significant clear-cut win his whole career against a good fighter ... one who had a style and one particular shortcoming (lack of foot and hand speed) made to fucking order for him ... Whitaker also beat that guy (twice, regardless of the outrageous corruption in fight #1) and one dominant victory after another against anybody that would fight him ... he's just flat out better and he'd win plain as day regardless of whatever bullshit Camacho elects to do
It's only worth discussing at 135, and even at 135 Pea wins by a wide margin. I think at lightweight Camacho would be competitive for the first 4 rounds or so, but then Whitaker takes over and schools Hector every round after.
I remember reading about that. That’s one sparring session I wish I could have seen. I’m sure Camacho’s shit talking gave Whitaker incentive.
