Known for his concussive power, Ponce was supposed to dispatch the youngster like he did Rey Bautista, Sod Looknongyangtoy, or so many other contenders he obliterated in his 2-year reign as WBO Super Bantamweight Champion. But in a matter of seconds a sneaky punch delivered perfectly by the “Juanma” Lopez sent Ponce crashing to the canvas with little hope of recovery.
