Here are some of my favorites. In the first there is Werner Gunter, a three-time world champ in shot put. See what he does with 280 lbs and the explosiveness in the end <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/jJECepNeCJ0&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/jJECepNeCJ0&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> And here, Andreas Thorkildsen, two-time olympic champion of Javelin. Look till the end <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/wgZ4FhmAgwM&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wgZ4FhmAgwM&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Holy Shit, that was nuts:: Olympic throwers are definitely among the greatest athletes in the world. I believe both the recorded vert and recorded broad jumps are held by Olympic throwers! Also, according to Poliquin, back in the Commie days I believe Hungary used to hold multi event competitions between all it's Olympic athletes and the throwers would regularly come out on top. :fightme:
True, and it must be kept in mind that this first guy is 6'6 1/2 and about 290 lbs and this Thorkildsen guy is 6'2 and 200 lbs
By a training clip I meant a clip where somebody actually does some training instead of making "funny" noises and faces for four minutes:warning:
Joey DeFranco's gym in New Jersey <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ekZYPGxQbno&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ekZYPGxQbno&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
we all have our own interpretations Ugo... I always enjoy Ronnie, and he does have some SERIOUS training on video too, but i like the "LIGHT WEIGHT BABY" etc:: for a more serious training clip.. check this.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ziOhn-rD7Y or this one of my favs... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ziOhn-rD7Y
Great stuffartie: Here we see Olympic champion high jumper Stefan Holm skipping some hurdles. Let's see fatboy Coleman making noises when repeating this <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/WVZ3ZcorTF0&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/WVZ3ZcorTF0&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
