The GOOD News Is, we have 2 YOUNG Prospects EAGERLY Fighting 4 the Right to Call Themselves THE Next Legitimate FORCE N the Division...

    The BAD News is, it's a Heavyweight Fight:lol: ...

REED hasn't Seen Povetkin Fight, but the Euro Fans on this Site have Spoken Highly of him...REED HAS Seen Chambers Against Guinn, Brock & Maybe 1 Other Time...

GOOD Heavyweight Handspeed, GOOD Combinations, ZERO Power & SHAKY Conditioning...CLEARLY, Chambers SHOULD B a CRUSIERweight as Opposed to an UNDERSIZED (yet FAT) Heavy...

Sure, the Heavyweight Division is GARBAGE, but @ Least Povetkin vs Chambers will Add a Degree of CLARITY to the Mix...

    Predictions??...Thoughts???...Guarantees???...Bets???

Povetkin should win it. For a guy with 14 fights he is very mature. He still is learning, but right now he seems he has learned enough to beat Chambers.

Povetkin's biggest problems so far have been that he is quite small and he does get hit, but against Chambers neither is much of a problem. Their speed is about equal (edge to Chambers) but Povetkin is much the bigger puncher, much the better combination puncher, has a better variety and has more stamina. Even though Povetkin didn't look like the second coming of Tyson against Byrd and Donald, he beat both impressively and I am not sure if Chambers is better than the two.

It will be a nice, good-paced fight but with Povetkin on command all the time. Povetkin's body shots will take the wind out of Chambers somewhere in the late rounds

I have seen both guys fight. Chambers 3times, and Povetkin twice. I have to agree with Ugotabe, this should be a a commanding win for Povetkin. But the comment Reed spoke of Chambers being at Cruiser is interesting. It would take some dedication to the heavy bag and tenny runners but Chambers could possibly be a force there.:dunno:

    Ugotabe-

I have this gut feeling they are going to try and match Povetkin up with a World title shot next. I don't like the idea. I think after one or two more fights against top 10-15 guys would benefit him. Watcha think? Do you have any insight on who might be next saying he disposes of Chambers? Other Euro-Officianados feel free to chime in as well:lol:

    oh yeah, Povetkin tko 7

This is the future of the division like it or not. Basically mobility is the word... While everybody talks about the superheavies if one looks carefully the new crop is chock a boc full of average sized heavies with some skills and experience.

I believe that a statistically average sized heavy can beat the big guys with the right skills. Calvin B got started late but if he had started earlier he would be a lot more skilled and would be able to beat the superheavies imo.

Povetkin TKO 9. I don't think Chambers has enough to keep him off of him.

For those that have Seen BOTH Cats Fight, is it Possible that Chambers Could "OUTSTINK" Povetkin, Capturing a DECISION that Makes BOTH Fighters look Bad??

    Is Povetkin a "Puncher"???...

I don't see that, since King of Stink Chris Byrd never came close of doing it. He may make Povetkin look bad but I don't think he wins enough rounds.

Povetkin isn't a murderous puncher but I believe he is bigger puncher than Ibragimov, Chagaev and comparable to most of the group behind Wlad.

Nah, he has become too slow. Chambers would outbox him in a crap fight and Povetkin's attack would be too much for him to hande

Chambers isn't really a stink kind of fighter, he has good handspeed but he primaril throws combinations in close....and he's rather stationary for a "boxer".

Chambers might do well in the beginning, but I'd be surprised if Povetkin didn't really distance himself on the cards over the second half of the fight.

I don't see a knockout in this fight, but Povetkin by decision.

U're Right that Chambers Primarily Throws Combo's from In Close, but that's Part of REED's Problem w/him...

N the Brock Fight, Chambers' Workrate Left a Little to B DESIRED...He Probably WON EVERY Single Exchange he Engaged Brock N, but they were FEW & Faaaaaaaaar btwn...

& While Chambers was Never on his TOES Running, there WASN'T Much Brock Could Do to Shorten the Distance, when Chambers DIDN'T Want to Engage him...

The Chambers-Brock Fight had some "Stink" N it, N REED's Opinion...

Povetkin beats Chambers comfortably. Eddie tends to square up and I doubt Povetkin will have much trouble finding him. He's far too schooled to lose to some blown up bantamweight.

I've seen more Povetkin than I have Chambers... but from what I've seen, I don't consider this much of a fight. Povetkin big.

Povetkin will win, probably in a comfortable over decision.

Isn't he supposed to be getting murdered by Wlad next?

I know nothing about Povetkin, and less about Chambers.

Chambers could be Chad Dawson, or he could be Calvin Brock.

My guess is Povetkin beats him.

He is Calvin Brock with Dawson's (lt. heavy) punch.

Chambers narrowly outpointed Brock in his last bout

Doesn't really even matter anyways, as the winner will destroyed in their next fight vs. Wlad.

Povetkin, and with not a lot of bother, IMO.

I'll watch and reserve judgment on his prospects beyond this fight- Wlad would likely KHTFO but Chagaev was GARBAGE against Skelton and might be a live oppo against Pov if he comes through in style...? :dunno:

i like chambers a lot. his jab is excellent and if he uses it well he can give povetkin some trouble. this fight will be a lot closer than people think.

I saw that Chambers is +500. Just like Steve Cunningham was +900, I'd take the bet here.
