Berto probably decisions Rivera and damn I can't believe Griffis is still fighting, Chazz might kill him
Do you think I'm conservative? I can't stand Berto even though I'm usually fairly open to new talents, he seems stiff and he has his chin all up in the air when he swings but seems to think he's a world beater already. He kinda remind me that poser too, Chris Eubank, don't know why... I kinda hope Rivera wins even though it would be better for boxing if Berto won, what's my problem? :dunno: Do I have a wrong perception of him?
I don't know about conservative or not, but I don't think that highly of Berto. He'll look great against fighters he can out-gun, but that doesn't mean he's a great fighter.
Off TV, Panchito Bojado and Glen Johnson stay busy, though Bojado actually has the tougher of the two assignments. The dude he;s facing (Rogelio Castaneda) is no world-beater, but a potential spoiler, especially with Bojado being a shell of what he once was, and even at that was always more potential than substance. Johnson should have an easy time with Moore, as Glen seems to tear through anyone not in the division's Top 5 these days. Neither probably deserve to be televised, but Im surprised one or the other isn't on Telemundo. And also that nothing is scheduled for Wednesday Night Fights this week. Or is that already over? :dunno:
Yeah, against Watson he was almost stumbling around at the end of some rounds but still did his little pose as if he was kicking Watson's ass, what a poser this guy was.::
I don't see any Chris Eubank in Berto. I do see David Reid and Lacy in him. Berto isn't losing to Rivera; the talent gap is just too large. He might falter when he reaches the top level, but he'll get to the top level with very little risk. And he might succeed quite well at the top level, it's hard to tell because he has some big +'s, and some noticeable -'s.
These are supposed to be good fights? It's crap. Cosme Rivera is a bum and who the hell wants to see Martin Castillo fight?
Speaking of Andre Berto, I caught an MMA event not too long ago on Showtime (I believe it was Frank Shamrock vs Baroni) and the undercard featured a kid named Berto (forget his first name). They did mention he came from a fighting family, and I do remember people mentioning that Andre's father was an MMA fighter. There any relation or just coincidence?
