I like Sonny by KO in 1. Riddick didn't have the firepower or toughness to jar him like Cleveland Williams did.
Whoa! I'm not complaining with your pick of Liston by KO, in fact I agree, but KO 1? I definitely dont see that happening. Bowe was no Floyd Patterson, and he was a helluva lot tougher, and overall better than Cleveland Williams. I say Liston stops him in the 8th. Bowe would give Sonny hell with his size, and jab(and infighting ability) but in the end Riddick gets hit too much, and Sonny hits too hard for him.
A prime focused Bowe might decision Liston. Factoring his size, and skill I wouldn't overlook that. :: at Bowe not having the toughness to be competitve. If anything Bowe has always shown toughness. What he lacked was motivation. Anyway if I had to pick I'd go with Liston on points.
Bowe at his absolute peak (Holyfield fight, 1992) was a damn tough fighter to beat, IMO. I haven't seen any old Liston tapes in years, so I don't have an opinion right now.
i think Liston is being over-rated here. like Bowe didn't knock the shit out of guys too? and he was quite a bit bigger than Liston too.
