Kovalev before the booze and PEDS (so basically the one that fought Cleverly) vs. the Hearns that stopped Andries
Its hard to say because Kov's chin was never truly truly tested in his prime, but I can think we can safely assume it was never great. Also, seeing how his history played out, I question if he had the heart to walk through the Hearns fire. I think Tommy has a very legit chance.
I think it clearly declined though. Pascal was a respectable puncher and he landed clean on Kovalev and he didn't really budge him. I think his base was a lot stronger in those days.
Yeah but getting nailed by Pascal ain't the same as getting nailed by Hearns. I'd make Kov the favorite, but only like a 55/45 favorite
If Tommy could survive the first five rounds (a big if), I'd pick him to khtfko Kovalev because he's a 15 round fighter. Kov has Frank Bruno-esque stamina
