Did any of you guys see prize fighter on sky sports over the w/e? If so what did you think of the fights?
martin rogan? come on man. none of those guys going anywhere. i was embarassed watching such poor fighters clumsily jostling for punches. it was shocking quality. exciting final though
I enjoyed the format, they were fighting for 25K, at least there wasn't any talk of contending for world titles....apparently they are considering similar for middleweight
There fights where a bit sloppy, but it was exciting. That guy Dolan used some nice skills when he was fighting in the first round. But couldnt handle Rogan in the Final, in saying that Rogan was lucky that it was only 3 rounds. BTW the fights were much more exciting than Wlads last fight.
Guys like that, most of who were not in great shape or at least not in condition, I would prefer to see swinging for 3 rds, the thought of watching them conserve energy and spread effor over 6 or 8 rds would be torture. Didn't like Dolan much, he isn't a proper HW and his chin and defence was pretty poor.
Yeah I would have to agree, the format suits these guys and it is an entertaining night of boxing. I think they said Dolan was 15st he didnt look it.
