While Gvodzyk-Beterbiev is a quality matchup this week, THE matchup of October is Prograis-Taylor. Only 10 days away. Final thoughts.

I'm thinking the "Brick Wall" will break down Taylor and force a late stoppage.

Taylor's defense has too many holes in it, and he seems easier to hurt than Prograis - both Postol and Baranchyk buzzed him.

    Prograis in 11.

You have to figure Prograis will crowd Taylor. And Taylor kind of struggles with that. He's not that good inside.

Prograis by stoppage with Taylor enjoying a few moments along the way. Not quite Waters vs Norris but maybe enough to make Prograis think twice along the way. Taylor certainly carries himself like a man who believes he can do something here.

Despite his Build, Height and KO%, Prograis Has Shown Himself to Be a Pretty Good BOXER in his Last Couple Bouts...Sees and Sets-Up Shots Well, Shown Improvements in Head Movement Also...1 of the Better Bodypunchers in the Game Too...

By the Same Token, Josh Taylor ISN'T As Slick or Hard to Hit as His Build and Athletic Wherewithal Suggests...Part of it is a True ZEST for Combat, to Duke it Out...Another Part Has to Be Attributed to Ring IQ...

This Will Be a Back and Forth, Momentum Shifting Fight...Prograis Says he's NEVER Had a Tough Pro Fight, Not 1...That Won't Be the Case When This One's Over...Taylor's Handspeed, Angles and Movement Will Pose Problems for Certain...But Whether By Design or Not, he Loiters in the Pocket @ Times, Admires His Work a Bit Toooo Looooooong...

Taylor Can Be Hurt and His Skin Marks Up VERY Easy...

REED Likes Prograis by Stoppage, Somewhere in the 8th-10th Range...And He May Be Slightly Behind on the Cards @ the Time of the Stoppage...

    Damn Good Scrap Though...

Taking the betting odds into account {Progress -163, to win, any way} and what Reed has had to say, then it might be best to allow Progress to get into a fight, and then put some $$$ on him to get the stoppage after he's had a couple tough rounds.

Bookies in Europe have Progress -163 to win, that's 8/13 , which is poor enough value considering that the guy Taylor is damn near evens at +130 or 13/10

So........Bookies have Progress at 10/3 or +333 {mark of the half-devil} so my leaning would be to put £100 on Progress to win by KO after a few rounds when you might be getting +400 or better.

Now..........the real kicker this weekend is Dereck Chisora vs David Price.

Price is a big under dog, maybe -400 or 4/1

Anybody seen what sort of shape Chisora is in?

He could be really fat and slow now in his old age.

Price had a really good time last fight out.

He's only 1 punch away from a KO but Chisora is not really explosive. He's slow and he's wide.

I think Prograis will win a close decision in a really good fight.

Taylor will test him. But I think Prograis will definitely pass it.

This could be an excellent 12 round fight but if I'm being brutally honest, I can see Prograis winning this handily and he could even score a stunning early KO. A lot depends on Taylor for me - feints, head movement, overall defense and if he's able to figure Prograis out early on. I'm not saying Taylor isn't a good fighter, because he is, I just think Prograis has more about him, is more unpredictable and is more explosive. If Taylor can figure Prograis out then he definitely has a great chance to win. Can't wait to see what happens.

I think usually when there's a unanimous choice on here that guy usually wins.

I can envision Taylor winning, but Prograis just has more ways to win it.

Most think Taylor's best chance to keep it a boxing match, but there's no certainty he even outbox Prograis.

Most everyone seems to agree that a tear up favors Prograis big time.

Gotta say, in the interviews I've seen from him so far, it's hard not to like Prograis. He's supremely confident without being obnoxious with it, seems like a good egg. I haven't seen enough of his fights and I'm a big fan of Josh so will watch some of Regis's fights before making a prediction.

Nah, unless someone I know is getting it. I'll likely stream it or go to the pub and watch it. Really hope big Dave sparks that prick Chisora.

I think Chisora is on something. He's older and in better shape than ever.

He's had a great chin but he's wide and sloppy.

I think Price can do him.

Big Dave will have to get to him first and early. Can he hurt Chisora and keep him down? Very doubtful. He hasn't clinically won a fight in how long? Plus, Chisora has had a couple of big KO wins in the past year. Big Dave is just big stiff robot who can be put to sleep at any point and runs out of gas easily. I've read some predictions and people go on about Big Dave's strong jab and the reach advantage he holds. Lol. He has no defence. His big noggin is always there to be hit and he's so open to body shots too. Chisora will get in the pocket and will land heavy shots up top and to body. Chisora by KO.

Krang has the power to take Chisora out but he just gets hurt too easily, if he doesn't get through early he will get splattered at some point later on.

3 more days. I'm VERY excited for this one! More excited than I've been for any matchup in awhile.

Regardless of who wins, it's to envision this NOT being exciting. Both are offensive fighters, neither are runners, and both want to hurt the other.

I think this will look a lot like Spence vs Brook................Brook feeds off the crowd energy before being worn down later on.

Kind of agree with Slice and Jimmy...........Price gets beaten up perhaps after having his moments.

That said he beat that Dave Allen guy and a lot of people were basically just waiting for Allen to beat him up. The opposite happened.

Price dominated Allen and Allen quit before the 11th or 12th round. If you're getting outboxed and can't do shit against David Price, you know you're not very good. Chisora is old but he's still a lot more useful than Dave Allen.

Prograis - Taylor is a very solid match-up indeed and it is almost certain to be entertaining, but I can't see Tsylor winning. For what I have seen of them, he doesn't look to have any advantages.

As for Chisora vs Price, with Price's punch and Del Boy's come forward style I guess anything is possible, but 8/10 times it will end in Chisora dusting him off inside four rounds

Yes, there's a chance Fat Del could walk onto something big but there's a better chance that Price pays the Price.

To play Devil's Advocate, I don't think it's accurate to say Taylor has no advantages. He's taller/rangier, and a he's a bit more fast twitchy with his hands.

The problem is he's too straight up, making him the much easier target of the two. Prograis is no Whitaker himself - he can be hit - but he doesn't get hit CLEANLY a lot. Everytime Taylor gets hit... it's clean.

Prograis is the more relaxed, and fluid of the two, and that's gonna matter if it's a grueling fight.
