Rank the 4 of them in terms of quality. Despite the loss of Sat, I still think Provo would have beaten Rios. I've never much liked his chances against Matty Ice though.
pellulo fucked up. provodnikov wanted to defend his title but he shouldve just took a rios fight at welter. more money, more exposure, and as it turns out better chance to win
Lamont Peterson is a much better fighter than mediocre Mile High Mike. Matty Ice destroying him in 3 impressed me more than Provo beating down Alvarado.
Matthysse Maidana Rios Provo Matthysse is clearly the best imo, though Maidana has proven himself the most at the top level.
If Bradley was dumb enough to trade with Matthysse, he'd get stopped at some point. One thing I'll say about Danny Garcia, he has one HELLUVA chin. A much better chin than Bradley.
In terms of wins, FFH Provo is definitely at the bottom of the heap. He's beaten Mile High Mike and that's it. He'd beat Rios I reckon, but probably lose to Lucas and Maidana.
No, I could STILL see Provo possibly beat Chino. I just don't think he'd fare well against Matthysse. I think if anything, maybe Maidana's style could be wrong for Matthysse. But Provo is made to order for Lucas. I dunno if any of us are sleeping on Rios. Maybe we are. I just think that Rios was most effective at 135.
It's possible. As you know I used to be pretty high on Rios. And Rios beating anyone decent wouldn't shock me, as he is a tough, determined little bastard. But he's looked like shit in some recent fights like Abril and Alvarado. Part of his success was obviously being a big, strong lightweight.
No doubt he would. Thurmles is underrated on here. He might be a bit of an "afleet", but he can fight a bit. He knows what he's doing, and can punch.
Thurman has a legit charisma to him as well. Not in a detestable way like Broner either. I find him very likable. Not overly cocky, but has a legit belief in himself, and has some pretty witty lines. He's pretty bright, unlike AB who's a tard.
Speaking of Thurman, it seems the plan was to have him fight Guerrero next, but Guerrero turned the fight down saying the offer was disrespectful. What probably happened is Guerrero's punk ass is overrating how much he's worth. Guerrero, and his father are both unlikable fucks. It'd be a joy to watch Thurman beat the shit outta Guerrero.
I think Thurman is a KO loss waiting to happen, frankly and is definitely an afflete he can punch though
I definitely don't think he has a Hopkins like chin. He likely will get stopped one day. I like his mentality though. When he said "I have an 0, but I'm not afraid to let it go", I started to like him more. Unlike fraud Broner, who thought he was invisible, Thurman knows a loss is always possible. He goddamn sure ain't no Ray Leonard in terms of talent or anything, but something about him I like because I think he has a strong character. And he has a LIKABLE personality, which is not often found in confident/out spoken guys. For most, they come across as pricks. Thurman doesn't.
I too think that Thurman will get stopped sooner than later. He's been hurt more than once which isn't so unexpected except that his comp hasn't been very good.
w/Very Little Thought Required, Mattttttthhhhhyyyyyyyse's the BEST of the Lot & Rios is the WORST...For REED, the Debate is btwn Provodnikov & Maidana, for the 2 Spot... As REED Types, Maidana's CLEARLY Done More, Fought Better Guys, Had Success in Another Weight Class, etc, but REED Thinks Provodnikov is Capable of Having a BETTER Career... TODAY it's Mattttttthhhhyyyyyyse, Maidana, Provodnikov, Rios, but the 2 & 3 Spots Could SHIFT in a Year or 2... REED:hammert:
