    Inspired by Klitschko-Solis.

Michael Grant's an obvious example. He injured his knee on a knockdown against Lennox Lewis and in his very next fight, he injured his ankle on a knockdown from the first punch Jameel McCline landed.

Derrick Jefferson injured his ankle on a first round knockdown against Oleg Maskaev. He managed to make it three more rounds, but was ultimately stopped.

    What are some other examples?

Tyson vs Danny Williams, Tyson hurt his knee but I don't know if it was before the knockdown, I think it was.

Gerald McClellan had so many 1st round knockouts that I might be confusing two of them together - but I think he had a 30-second ko where his opponent twisted his ankle and couldn't continue. Pretty sure it was one of his three title defenses, and obviously wasn't Julian Jackson.

Wilfred Benitez broke his ankle when he was knocked down in the first round by Davey Moore, which led to a 2nd round TKO loss.

I was at this fight...was fairly close to the ring...maybe five rows back...if you've ever been to a baseball game and heard the "crack" as the ball comes off that bat that's what the punch sounded like.
