Povetkin dropped Mora with a nice feint lefthook combo in the first round. Then he used a wide range of punches and combinations to land and not stop Mora.

Dropped him in the 2nd with a nice right through the middle and then managed to not stop him AGAIN. I wonder what his plan will be against Wlad. Drop him, hurt him and look.

Three rounds are over. Povetkin is embarrassing himself. Ibragimov did Mora in a round. They should just take the three million from Wlad and get it over with.

Late flurry wins Povetkin round four. He looks like utter shit.

Fight ends in round five. Povetkin looked horrible. Slow and out of shape.

Povetkin saw Helenius' last fight and lost his interest in training as he saw he is way out of his league

It took him five rounds to get ride of fat Mexican with a mohawk that Ibragimov stopped in one. He was arguably dropped in round two, but it was called a push. They didn´t show a replay. Overall he seemed to be breathing heavily very quickly, his movement appeared slow. His combination punching was the same, his lefthook looked decent, and he seemed to try to work on the inside, but against Wlad he won´t get there with this sort of movement.

I heard that Povetkin looked like shit against Estrada,.. and it looked to be about correct, as he lost the first 2 rounds,.. but he then won every round from then on,..and I came away, eerily impressed,.. I guess it was the way that he handled a stinking opponent as good as you possibly could. I wouldn't give up on him, I reckon he's ok.

Povetkin has loads of talent, he already beat Eddie Chambers, Chris Byrd and Muhammad Ali, but he needs to get his flabby fat ass in shape.

    ,..

I wonder if those Krauts kind've.. atleast thought just a little bit that this handpicked victim contains a connotative label that might enhance his 'development padding' a little..

How was Atlas acting in between rounds with Povetkin?

How about you for your performance on being oblivious to the fact that this fight about to take place featuring Pacquiao, has no drug testing requirements whatsoever,...now how's that for a precedent?..

Any thoughts on this matter?... :crafty:

    ....And Still Champion

    Huck looked fantastic, btw.:bears:

Swamp gave it a shot and made the fight, but was dominated by a superior fighter.

Best performance by The WBO Champion thus far.

Btw if somebody has not seen the fight, Povetkin wasn't nearly as bad as ElTerrible makes it sound like. Teddy Atlas was though. He gave like fifteen different instructions on every turn and that via interpreter

It took him five fuckin rounds to get rid of Mora and they never showed a replay of that alleged slip by Povetkin in round two. Huck would have done Mora in two at the most. :shit:

It is not always about how quickly you win though, Mora was dominated easily. The only real problem was that when Mora opened up, he was able to catch Povetkin too easily. It looked to me like Atlas tried to make povetkin learn every move in the book and use them all in the same fight

Povetkin shouldn´t try to finish a bum as quickly as he, so just in case he really lands the big shot against Wlad he can give him the same time to recover as he gave Mora? :slap:

What was the point of this joke? He can pratice those same moves against a heavybag, smear some Taco sauce on it, and you got Mora. That was sparring without headgear. He´s in the prime of his career and the last two years he has fought Sykes, Estrada (underrated, but undersized), Nolan and Mora. How is that going to prepare him for Wladimir. Povetkin would have had more momentum going straight from Chambers to Wlad. He has slowed down and significantly decreased. If they didn´t think he´s ready for Wlad, he should have taken on stablemate WBA champion Valuev/Chagaev or even WBC champion Peter. Povetkin beat Chambers nine months before Vitali even returned to the ring and he hasn´t done a damn thing since.

Oh, now I understand you disappointment. You are still hoping for him to be Wlad's conqueror. Not going to happen. Keep waiting for ten more years or so:kidcool:

No I don´t. At least the other heavyweights measure themselves against the very best, get back in line and compete again. Povetkin is just sitting around, while he´s bypassed by Chambers, Haye, Adamek, Arreola and now even Huck is talking about fighting Haye next. What is the Olympic gold medalist, World and European amateur champion doing? :dunno:

Does Povetkin even have 20 fights?

Considering his style, it is easy to see what Povetkin is up to.

He is taking some decent fights {Estrada, Byrd, Muhammad Ali, Chambers} and he is taking some crap fights {Mora, Taurus Sykes} and he is learning his trade.

Then, when Vitali and Wlad are close to retirement, he will step in with Haye and the rest.

    That's his plan.

Not saying it will pan out that way, because he is dependent on other results and other fighters, but it sure would seem that way.
