A few weeks ago Joe Cortez DQ'd someone for a shot that really rever landed it was a pure joke.... RJJ got DQ'd for a shot while someone was down also....BUT why was this not even a question? granted Cotto was fucked regardless BUT rules are rules if u load up and hit someone while there down there HAS to be a penalty, one was for sure warrented.

Cotto did that on purpose. He wanted to get out of the fight. The ref knew it too. He saw that he was quitting. Unlike Hbo, Bayless was watching the actual fight and seeing the fraud get exposed. He knew Cotto wanted out. He should have stopped it right there. Cotto begged Bayless to help him out.

That was a minor fight, no big names involved. This was a superfight, too much at stake. Plus Cotto didn't acted like a pussy when he got tagged.

It was changed to a no contest because it was a bullshit call. Youre clutching at straws, the no call was the right call.

The fact is Cotto took the knee to avoid more punishment. Joto wanted out. He simply didnt want to be there, but thats what happens when you hit someone with everything and he keeps pressuring you with heavy hands. Something mentally happens there. Margarito has an iron will and solid chin, that was on display last night.

Joto on the other hand, might not be the same after this fight.

Guys get hit when they're down frequently (it's an often overlooked foul), but rarely is much made out of it unless the guy pulls an acting job and flops all over the canvas.

Besides Norris-Waters, I can't think of any instances off the top of my head where a guy was deducted points for hitting someone when he was down.

Well then, I guess we hould make a big deal out of it. There should be an article with this headline:

    BAYLESS DOESN'T RUIN FIGHT
Decent Judgment in Context leads to Favorable Outcome Instead of a Cortez Mess Using Letter of the Law
