SHOWTIME will thrill boxing fans with an exciting and explosive light heavyweight championship doubleheader when International boxing Organization (IBO) 175-pound champion and former undisputed light heavyweight kingpin Antonio Tarver defends his crown against International Boxing Federation (IBF) titleholder Clinton Woods at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Fla. on Saturday, April, 12. <!-- m -->http://www.fightbeat.com/news_details.php?NW=21132
Why does Tarver even hold a belt at all? I know it's only the IBO but wasn't that belt on the line when Hopkins kicked his ass? Why was he fighting for the vacant IBO title in his very next fight after losing it to Hopkins? Did they fucking invent this belt just for Tarver? ::
Truth be told, the only way Woods beats Tarver is if Tarver told the truth and he really CAN'T go twelve rounds anymore... The problem is, I don't think Woods can take Tarvers best shots for even 5 rounds... Complain about Tarver all you want. The boy can whack...
Go back and watch Tarver-Muriqui. Either Tarver is pretty much done or it was ring rust. Considering his age I think he might be about done. Woods has a good shot of outworking Tarver IMO. Neither guy is much good right now.
Because Woods is a good, durable, experienced champion whilst Tarver is old and shot. I think Woods wins by decision, so long as he keeps his defence tight and stays out of the range of Tarver's big shots, which he still has in spite of his apparent decline.
