Mexico has produced a lot of great fighters over the years, many that showed that they were more than just brawlers. In terms of overall boxing ability and ring IQ where would you rank these fighters as your Top 10 most skilled Mexican fighters? The fighters listed below are stand out technicians from Mexico IMO. Feel free to just rank the fighters you’re more familiar with. Jose Medel Efren Torres Vicente Saldivar Ruben Olivares Chucho Castillo Rafael Herrera Guty Espadas Sr Miguel Canto Rodolfo Gonzalez Carlos Zarate Lupe Pintor Salvador Sanchez Julio Cesar Chávez Gilberto Roman Daniel Zaragoza Ricardo Lopez Juan Manuel Marquez Rafael Marquez Marco Antonio Barrera Erik Morales Juan Francisco Estrada Canelo Álvarez
That "Duran is a Mexican" thing is lame as fuck. No wonder that idiot brought it up. As for the question, for me Sanchez, Lopez and JMM were the most impressive technically speaking, but i must admit that my knowledge of the diaperweights is pretty limited
My top ten would be #01: Canto #02: Saldivar #03: Roman #04: Olivares #05: Sanchez #06: Chavez #07: Medel #08: Lopez #09: Chucho #10: Marquez
Canto, Chavez, and Sanchez were the top 3 most skilled for me because they were best at integrating both great offense and defense. They also kept it up at a high pace all night, unlike the spurt fighting juicer.
