It also sounds like Schaub was saying these guys weren't that great of friends to begin with.

This whole act is completely fraudulent.

My best bet is that Rashad and Jones were barely friends, more like acquaintances, and Rashad was kissing his ass and being all friendly so that he could duck Jones when he won the title and claim it was because they "Were like brothers(BULLSHIT)"

Jones seems like he was just going along with it because he didn't want to cause a rift amongst Team Jackson, especially since he was by far the less established fighter and was a lot newer to the camp than Rashad.

Seems like Rashad is extremely butthurt that is ducking and dodging game is coming to an abrupt halt when Jones said he would fight Rashad if he had to for the title and that he wouldn't answer anymore questions about Rashad.

I don't think there is any drama besides people's speculation. Jones has a task to concentrate on and that seems to be his focus, so I don't blame him for not answering Rashad related questions.

Jones is right on the money for squashing the questions about Rashad. If he is going to beat Rua, he needs to be 100% focused. I thought he handled it fine.

On a second note, this so reminds me of Tito and Chuck. Tito told the media that he could never fight Chuck because they were friends and training partners. When the media went to Chuck, he's like, sure I'll fight him. Tito looked like a clown.

Isn't it funny Jarhead? In both cases the guy most people thought would lose the fight was the one claiming to be "Great friends" with the other and the guy most thought would win is down to fight.

    Rashad is a clown.

I don't even see what pissed Rashad off. Jones didn't even say anything bad about him.

Jones said he would fight Rashad. Thus breaking the Greg Jackson law!

Though more unproven, Jones would throw Rashad a beating, no question. Rashad has done pretty well for himself, solid record, but he's always been overrated.

But yeah, I don't see what Jones said that was remotely "bad", he didn't insult or denigrate Evans in the slightest.

That quote from Jones needs to be used in a movie. I can hear a trainer badgering his fighter with those word.

That might be one of the top 10 fighter quotes ever.

Mickey to Rocky : "Arghhh, come on you gotta push it Rock. Now's the time you beat the weakness out of yourself. You beat the doubt out of yourself. You have to beat every ounce of give-up outta yourself Rock!!"

    Great.

    Jon Jones is a GODSEND...

He's YOUNG, HUNGRY, RESPECTFUL, CONFIDENT, TALENTED & BRUTAL...Thus Faaaaaaar, Bones has Said & Done ALL of the RIGHT Things in his MMA Career...He's Self Assured, yet NOT Arrogant...He Seems to B a SPONGE Absorbing As Much Knowledge as Possible...He's Very CANDID about his Weaknesses...

A LAID BACK, SOFTSPOKEN Cat Outside of the Ring, yet a Stone Cold KILLER Inside of It...

NATHAN Bones Said in that Excerpt Should've Offended Rashad...From the Moment Rashad Played the "Friend" Card, REED Smelled BULLSHIT...In the Fight Business, Friends FIGHT Friends...It's Called a BUSINESS for a Reason; it's RARELY if Ever PERSONAL...

Rashad Probably Got Enough of a Taste of Bones Jones in Training, to Let him Know he'd Get WAXED in Real Life...ELIMINATING Rashad from his Thought Process is EXACTLY What Bones Jones Should B Doing, Before the Biggest Fight of his Life...

I agree with TLC here. Rashad embodies everything that bad about the NFL compared to NCAA football. He pisses and moans about when and who he fights. He often relies on a win by points first mentality. He won't fight unless it's for big money or a belt. And he comes up with all kinds of reasons why he can't fight guys He's met.

Jones on the other hand just simply wants to fight no matter who they give him and he lays it all out there every time he steps in. He fights because he wants to beat someone and prove who's the best.

I also think that Rashad is getting a little jealous over all of the attention that Bones is getting.

I'm sure it's pretty hard sitting back watching a training partner of yours get a title shot that should have been yours. Now he's faced with having to potentially fight a "Friend" for the title.

He's still being a bitch though.

U're Right...Even REED Can Admit that it ISN'T EASY to Fight a "Friend" or a Guy U're even Just SOMEWHAT "Cool" w/, but the Highlighted Portion of your Post is the BOTTOM LINE....

Even if it's your "Homey", STOP Being a Bitch & Fight the Dude...Especially if it's a HIGH PROFILE Fight...

Yeah, it's understandable to a point. Obviously it's not going to be anyone's first choice to fight a friend, but when it comes down to potentially harming your career, you need to put any friendship aside and do what you need to do for you.

How silly Rashad looks now. He wants to change damn weight classes in order not to fight his "friend" meanwhile Jones is like whatever dude I'll fight you...Talk about being made to look like a pussy

One of the problems with taking the Evans stance of "I won't fight my buddy" is if your supposed buddy says "Bullshit we ain't that tight". Then you just end up looking like a frightened pussy.

Don't forget the Tito-Chuck situation. Tito didn't want to fight him because they were good friends, but Chuck was ready to brawl. Tito ended up looking like he was using the "friendship" as an excuse.

As much as Tito looked like a pussy at least he didn't plan to move down to 185 pounds to avoid a fight with Chuck .

you know in all of this Greg Jackson is smart enough to know Jones is the cash cow here. Jones has the potential to be an icon in this sport and Rashad is an overachiever. We all know it and so does Jackson. Rashad will be assed out soon. If Jones beats Rua, Joe Silva would make this matchup immediately and capitolize off this media attention the feud between these two is getting.:bears:

Yep, that's the gist of it.

And jarhead is right. Evans is an overachiever. Still not sure how his record is as good as it is to be honest. Couldn't even beat Bisping, and got thrashed by Machida, the same Machida that should have clearly lost to a shot Rampage.

Haha, what an idiot, you're right, Page got the decision. I just remembered something controversial about it, but it was just Rampage being a tard, thinking he lost.

Yes it was. I seriously can't even believe Rampage won that fight, not that he didn't deserve it but he certainly wasn't favored to win that one. It's a great win for Page, at least on paper.
