Leonard in his prime was quite capable IMO of fighting at 154. Afterall he moved up and beat up the very good Kaule at 154 prior to the Hearns fight. Who wins between he and the body snatcher at 154?
yes. the only question is whether or not we're able to admit it. for some it means digging down deep and over-coming their love of SRL's ball-sack.
Even the black semen loving sly doesn't like Leonard...in fact NOBODY likes SRL, but he's very....VERY good. He'd beat McCallum, because he could outbox him.
I'm not much of a fan of Leonard either, as a person anyway. He was as phoney as a 3 dollar bill, and he was a wife beater. But as a fighter he was somethin else! I think he'd be a bit too fast and versatile for McCallum would outpoint him.
see I think this fight would be similar to the first 5 rounds of the Hearns/SRL fight, except that SRL would not be able to hurt McCallum with a left hook and turn the tide of the fight, and McCallum's pressure would be even steadier. McCallum would come forward behind his jab, he'd move his head, cut off the ring, and counter SRL's counters. And he'd tire SRL out with his body-shots.
Your underrating Ray's power. He might not be able to hurt McCallum, but he definitely hit hard enough to get his respect. Hell McCrory stunned McCallum, and McCrory did NOT hit as hard as Ray. I'm not saying Mike wouldnt have his moments, but ultimately Ray would be too fast.
the horse is the most unworthy moderator in history. His faggotry, open idiocy, and indecency is yet anoher bullshit mod appointment by the retard who runs this thing, and as such, this person/horse will never get any decent person's respect
silence. You are the true essence of fightbeat personnel, unlike Steve_Dave and Donny who are decent humans.
:eeeek: This the WORST post of your entire posting career. "First the Fat Boys broke up and now this, what's the world coming to?"
::  I just wanted to see what kind of reactions I got....beyond yours, Sly, there weren't many; so either people think this is a possibility or they saw through it - or they're wondering "really"? - and not wanting to go into an endless debate.:: That being said - talk about a mantle of invincibility. Everyone criticizes how Duran "wins every MM match-up"; but damn, SRL does the exact same thing. IMHO, the outcome of this fight is very much in doubt, especially considering how relatively competitive Leonard-Kalule was. SRL isn't fighting McCallum inside...and he's not going to easily outbox and outpoint him from the outside. Peace.
We all knew you wouldn't take a stance that clear :: You do have a point her though, McCallum would definately be a problem to anybody at 154 and that includes Leonard
Agreed...what I disagree with in Donny's case, is that McCallum would do a "paint job" on Ray Leonard and win twice as many rounds. Stylewise it just isn't happening, imo.
The textbook-perfect McCallum wins via clear unanimous decision. McCallum cut the ring off better than most, always remembered the body and was a fantastic combination puncher. I see McCallum methodically stalking Ray, landing tremendous body shots and eventually giving Ray a late round clinic.
:eeeek: McCallum could give alot of fighters a "late round clinic" but Ray Leonard simply isn't one of them.
:flip: I take perfectly clear stances, ya mook. :: It was a JOKE. I think McCallum beats Leonard, the more I think about it... But my intent was to say this is a close, competitive fight. Peace.
