well, on paper, you'd have to favor Rosario. But I think if Mancini can survive the early going he has a real shot to make it a grueling night for Edwin, if maybe not being able to do enough to get the win, but at least push Rosario in a big way
True, but the chances of him doing so are slim. Rosario just hit too hard(harder than Arguello probably) he had fast hands, threw beautiful combos, and was deadly accurate. Mancini would not be able to avoid any of Chapo's bombs, and although Ray had a tough chin, so did Bramble and look what Rosario did to him. I doubt Mancini would make it past 6 rounds honestly.
maybe, X. I certainly can't say that any of what you wrote is untrue. I think the Bramble KO (even coming from a dead-shot hitter like Rosario) is something of an aberration. I'd bet Rosario never could've duplicated it (sort of like Azumah Nelson icing Pat Cowdell with one shot) And I just remember guys like Howard Davis, Ramirez and Chavez taking Rosario's thunder and surviving to either beat the daylights out of him (Chavez) or pushing him to the brink (Davis and Ramirez in the first fight) Granted, Chavez is on a whole other level than any of them. Davis was of course a better boxer and far faster than Mancini. Ramirez may have been a better fighter on the whole, but Mancini kicked the dogshit out of him when they fought. And Mancini did absorb some hideous punishment for 13 and a half rounds from Alexis Arguello before he could finally do no more. He had a ton of heart. He also absorbed a terrible amount from Bramble in both of those fights and hung in there. I certainly can see what you're saying, mancini takes too many of Chapo's bombs and just can't over come it, but I also think it's a distinct possibility he survives and pushes Rosario to the limit.
Stick with what I said... X's scenario is definitely plausible... Rosario was a lightning starter and he had great skills and absurd power, he could blow Ray out... but if Mancini can survive the early hell, he can come back and push Rosario who did not deal well with resistance after the midway point
