You are going to love it REED!!! I love the local MMA shows around my neck of the woods. Intense as fuck, sometimes you get some pretty shitty fighters, but the only good thing is they usually get put to sleep fairly brutally. No matter what, make a thread about it, I'd love to hear what you thought about the live event.

 

I used to go to local MMA shows all the time. Ring of Combat, Euphoria, MFC, Reality Fights, etc. They used to come to the Rex-Plex all the time, unfortunately, they shut that place down.

It's cool seeing fighters who you watched when they were unknowns make the big time. I was watching guys who eventually made it to UFC\Afflcition\EliteXC, like Eddie Alvarez, Josh Koscheck, Ben Rothwell, Pete Sell, Chael Sonnen, and a bunch of TUF fighters, etc.

You should either get a program, or write down the names of the fighters and look at it in a few years and see if any of them made it big time.

Honestly, REED REQUESTED a UFC Guy, but this Low-Budget Ass Organization COULDN'T Afford Any....REED was even Willing to Whip Marcus Hicks' WEC Ass, just for the Fuck of it, but Again, the MONEY Wasn't Right...

So REED Did, Raised his Arms in the Air & the Eye Candy Bitches Cheered & Applauded as if REED was a Fighter::...Then, REED Playfully Walked Towards the Ref as if he was Ready to Get Greased Up...The Ref was DYING Laughing...

Or did they look like what you'd expect on a relatively small show? Sort of like local bar waitresses at Hooters? I saw the pic and I'm thinking they're pretty cheap, about as good as what you'd expect for a couple hundred just to walk around flashing asses to the drunks.::
How much do you think these fighters are getting paid? I'm thinking 1K at the least, 10-12K at the most.
So this looks like a farm league where guys are looking to build their way to bigger things like the UFC. Apparently you said most of them likely won't ever go far in their careers and I can sense you're right.
Did any of those guys really stand out to you? Did you see a lot of world class skill or do you think, at best, these guys would be better off just working as sparring partners or finding real jobs?

 

Reed, are you attending a UFC sometime soon? Do you think you could get in for free by being part of the press? I think we can make it happen. We already have FightBeat as our website but we need some press passes like what guys on here like joon and cupey get when attending boxing shows.

All in All, it was about what U'd Expect @ a Local Show, N Terms of Attractive Females...No Drop Dead GORGEOUS Broads, but Some Pretty Nice-Decent Eye Candy...

REED Seriously DOUBTS if ANY Fighter Got Paid 10-12 Grand...Probably 1 -2 Grand MAX...McCarty, Frey & Campos Stood Out...McCarty LOOKS like he's Already in his 30's though...Frey is McCarty's Understudy...If ANY of them "Makes It", it'll Probably B Campos...He LEFT Lubbock, Tx. Because there was NO Competition there...It Got to the Point that his Own Coach COULDN'T Stop Campos for Subbing him DAILY, so the Coach Referred him to Guy Mezger in Dallas...

Campos has the LOOK of a Successful MMA Guy...SQUARED Jaw, Fucked Up Cauliflower Ears & Some Good Skills...VERY Humble, Approachable Dude...His Former Coach Told REED the "Sub" Story, NOT Campos Himself...
