Agreed. Davila should take a decision in an excellent fight. Richie is pretty underrated though. Chandler wasn't at his best, but the way Sandoval dismantled him was still highly impressive. Sandoval had a lot of talent. It was his lack of dedication that was his undoing.
Albert Davila was a better fighter. The fight to see would be between the 2 Sandoval brothers. I am not convinced that Richard would win. When he came back after beating Chandler, they set up a "meet the new champion "; I think that Richard was the first world champion from Pomona, or maybe it was Mike Weaver. Anyway, he sat in a vacant shop just inside the main entrance to the Indian Hill Mall. It seemed like he was there forever, signing autographs and eating the food that people would bring to him.
