I didn't want to pick the Chavez of the late 80s because it would be pretty much unanimous that he'd win here, but what about the Chavez of 1994?

Hatton is naturaly the bigger stronger guy. He'd outwork and out muscle Chavez on his way to a decission. Chavez's chin and ring smarts would keep it competitive throughout though.

GTFOH! The 89-90 Chavez gives Hatton a cruel beating! Dont let Ricky's win over the faded homeless man's Chavez distort your judgement. The way Ricky fights play's right into Chavez's hands. None ever beat Julio by brawling with him. Hatton does NOT posses the skillset that Whitaker, Taylor, and Randall had. Hatton POSSIBLY beats the Chavez of 94, but NOT the Chavez of 89-90. No way!
