The Foreman and Holmes of 1991-92. A diminished, overweight or drained Bowe (take your pick from either of the Golota bouts) against the competitive, yet severely past-prime versions of Foreman and Holmes, probably at the peak of their 90's form, although both quite bloated as well. Who gets it?
Bowe beats both of them, naturally. Bowe wasn't as diminished in the Golota fights as the legend would suggest. Golota was a very good fighter when he wasn't acting crazy.
Bowe wins both... George lands the occassional bomb or gets the sledgehammer jab home once in a while to get his attention, but Bowe comprehensively outboxes him, lands in combination and wins comfortably by decision. Holmes still had a fine jab and some wily tricks, he'd be harder to hit than George, obviously, but he doesn't have the offense at that stage to really make much of an impact. Again, Bowe quite clearly
prime Bowe gets the same results, really whatever was wrong with Bowe, whatever state he was in by the time he was in there with Andrew Golota, I don't think Foreman or Holmes had the right kind of Golota-like skills/attributes to re-create or come close to re-creating Golota's success.
