If that happened it'd the happiest day of my boxing life!

I doubt it though. I guess you have to favor Taylor at this point, but Roy actually has a great chance.

    Taylor wins.

Roy is old and SHOT. Still. Just like he was a month ago, before he fought and beat ANOTHER old and SHOT guy... :shit:

Sorry dawg but Taylor can not be favored over Roy. Taylor ain't a better then Tito nor does he punch harder then Tito. Roy ko's Taylors ass. Prolly won't ko him but he will beat his ass like he stole something. I was wondering why Roy was at the fight. I'll Holla 5000

Easy win for Taylor...RJ is shot and looked average against a fat, slow and undersized Tito. Taylor will brutalize RJ.

Uh oh Roy:eek:ld: I'm worried for Roy if he takes this, but it would be great if he can beat someone else that beat Hopkins.

I laugh everytime I see someone cite that website for anything.

It's called BoxTALK for a reason.

I won't believe this fight is happening until it's the third round.

Hummmm!? Lets see? Taylor could KO Roy if he catches up to him but Roy can pretty much keep away from Taylor. Taylor still can't really push the pace. He can go to the body better and he can play D a little better.

Roy will either get caught to the body, slow down and get KO'ed or, Roy will outpoint Taylor.

I laugh everytime I see someone try to discredit the boxingtalk site, even when it's the owner and or manger of this board. I don't understand where the hate comes from but it's been pretty consistent on every boxing board I've been on.

Tell me this, how many fights have BT gotten wrong? I'm sure it's not as much as you claim to make it seem. Fact is no other place in the boxing universe gets the interviews and or info that boxingtalk does.

The fight makes no sense for Jones.

Jones doesn't fight risky, meaningless fights.

Therefore, Roy will not be fighting Jermain in June.

jones fights fights in which he can get a decent cut, and possiblly wi n. no longer must he retain his mystical undefeatedness - it's been exposed as false.

you think rjj wants dawson or adamek? or even hayes? hell no. hr's not lookin to get kod again.

Erdei...to finally get the linear belt.
    Woods...big money over there.
    Bute...a belt.
Calz...huge money and a chance for a resume gem
    Hopkins...obvious

Wherever Taylor falls on the spectrum, it's below these guys and probably below quite a few more. Imo, he's just too dangerous to risk getting knocked out of a huge fight with someone up there.

Taylor just went 12 without getting hurt. He'll be in great shape for a June fight. And lately, there's been no reason to think Jones can hurt him.

hbo don't like those guys. erdi not a gimme either and would have to be in europe.

    bute? hbo - no,

calz - little chance of vitory, tough t get good cut

woods - he already beat him

hopkins -- undoes his best win in his career after he loses...

The perfect opponent for Roy, albeit a dangerous one, just because Taylor is young and in his physical prime, very athletic and could do some damage with his wild swings.

For those that are claiming an easy victory for Taylor r smoking crack. Hmm Taylor couldn't even ko Kasim the Dream Ouma and Cory Spinks but yet he will ko a bigger stronger fighter in Roy. Not only that once u take away his rt hand he can't do anything else. Not to mention the dudes defense/footwork aint the best ad he gets extremely fatigued done the stretch. And yes even at 39 Roy has way better offensive skills then Pavlik. Roy dominates Taylor while putting carrying him to a 1 sided beat down. I'll Holla 5000

Yep. Roy can't fight for 12 rounds no more so he will give away around 3-4 rounds. He will win the rest convincingly though.
