Apparently this fight is inked for November in Melbourne, Australia.ld: Roy should be able to beat Green....one would think.
No question who wins this prime for prime. Now? Green's been declining since he near boiled his brain in a fight and Roy is done as a top fighter. Roy should be able to do it but I wouldn't be overly surprised if Green gets it done. I may have to go see this live. artie:
He's going to find another corpse to dig up. He just fought Daniel Geale who is honestly one of the best Aussie boxers going around now. No way he takes another hard fight straight away.
Geale is promising. He was not disgraced against AM, I had Mundine winning by a point. I just want Geale to go to the states and take on some top contenders. Then we'll see where he stands for sure.
Hmm, seems it's actually Green vs 30G on the RJJ/Lacy undercard, winner of both to face each other in November. I'm confused.:dunno:
OG's getting a rematch? I remember the first knockdown of their fight was suspect but it really wasn't all that competitive from memory. Still, I'll be rooting for the fightbeat lad over Green when it happens.
Yeah I recall Otis mentioned it a while back. He was competitive against Lacy so you never know, and Green has definitely slipped. Just gotta avoid Green's punch, he still packs it. Winner to face RJ. EDIT - linky http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,25644917-23218,00.html
I love it how just about everyone in this thread prefaces their comment by first saying that a prime RJJ would dust Green. If RJJ wins it'll be an ugly and tedious fight to watch. If it turns out to be entertaining, RJJ will be on his back. It's hilarious that RJJ is still fighting. He's like one of those elderly delusional actresses in Hollywood who thinks she still has it, if only she'd be cast in the perfect role. ::
Mn Roy sure is getting active. I think Green should be his last fight but he will probably fight on.
Jermaine owns a tractor ---- Roy doesn't,.. Jermaine owns a hatchery --- Roy doesn't,.. Jermaine plants corn and pumpkin crops --- Roy doesn't,.. Roy owns a rural block of land, decorated with chickens, just to hord pitbull terriers for fights - Jermaine doesn't,..
It's pretty sad though that, Jermaine owns a property that he uses to feed his family and his poor community, and yet Roy takes advantage of a DEAD COMMUNITY to feed to his vicious dogs and syndicate further pain and misery of animals across america. So never, put Jermaine's name, next to Roy Jones, again,... Jermaine is the much suprerior fighter, and I've made the case clear.
Oh and um...by the way,..I nearly forgot, Jermaine's wife is a basketball player, so not only does that mean he OWNS an indoor court, he's banging vagina on top of it aswell,... ... has Roy got ANYTHING on Jermaine??.. is there ANYTHING left to EXPOSE? :notallthere:
I've got to beat Marcus Oliveria in a rematch before I get back in with Green. I think our fight was competitive even if it went only 3rds. The second kd was legit. The others were his way of getting the 3kd rule to end the fight. Just mushing me to the ground; but it was his night and he went on to win the title. RJJ better worry bout Jeff 1st, and Green is not a good fight for him. For sure not "Down Under"!!!
Punk's right. Green has slipped. So has Roy but I still think he has enough to beat Green. I wasn't trying to be offensive when I said the fight wasn't competitive and I hope you didn't take it that way. You are right about one thing: Aussie boxing is crooked in favour of the hometown fighter. I only saw your fight with Green the once but the first KD was a push/slip and the third wasn't any better. After the first 'KD', Green was allowed to stand right behind the ref rather than go to a neutral corner. We're just as shady as the Germans.
No I didn't take any offense at all. I'm the type of athlete that believes the fans of a sport should be allowed to speak their opinon. I'm sure RJJ would get his pick of int. ref but he is setting himself up. The payday would be massive and that will get Roy there if he gets by Lacy, but he can't out box Danny at this point. He is just too physical and hard nose for RJJ. Roy would try to pop shot him and use his legs; infact he will tire and get put to sleep against the rope ala Wascott/Rocky. I think Green is getting better. LHW Green is stronger and not weight drained. Also more heavy handed.
"He's all might and power, he's Australia's man of the hour, let's give it up for Danny Green!" ...as soon as you heard that blatant cocksucking corny introduction you should have left the arena Oates... it was never gunna be fare.
