I was at the fight. It was definitely one of the top 5 fihts Ive been to overall. Action, atmosphere, knockdown, stunned fighter etc....

I just feel Manny is slightly better than JMM. JMM is great, no question about it, but the Bottom line is that Manny has put him on his ass 4 times in two fights and in PROFESSIONAL boxing, which is a show as much as it is an athletic competition, thats what counts. Manny deserves to be up on JMM based on the profoundness of those knockdowns.

I was also surprised that Marquez had so many fans. It was about 60/40 for Manny in fan support. Compare that with 80/20 for Pac/ Morales 2 and 3. Barrera/Pacwas about 70/30.

I disagree that ones ability to put his opponent on his back should be the determining factor over who wins their matches. IMO JMM is way more skilled than Pac who relys more on athletecism and power. From your point of view some bumbling oaf with outrageous power could get his ears boxed off but as long as he keeps flash knockdowning his technically better opponent he wins.

I think the very fact that JMM perserved through 3 1st rd KD's and fought well enough to eek out a draw in a fight most thought he came back and won is more impressive than Manny dropping him thrice.
