Battle of the two Sugars. If anybody can beat Robinson at his best, it’s Leonard IMO. I could see them fighting 2-3 times. What would this look like?
Robby was just better. Leonard's edge in speed isn't by much. Robinson's edge in power and chin is pretty big. Robinson was every bit as good a boxer, just less flashy. Leonard makes it close, because he's Ray fucking Leonard, but he's in with the only welterweight in history better than himself.
Leonard was more than worthy to carry the Sugar name, he was that great. Both at their best I can see Leonard winning 1 fight and losing the rest by close decision in a trilogy. Robinson's firepower would be the difference but what an amazing fight that would be.
Leonard's best punch was a left hook but unfortunately for him, so was Walker Smith's. Therefore, Smith wins
