The question is while B-hop is moving backwards (and he will or it would be a trench fight ) , would he be able to land many punches or enough to win rounds without getting caught ? IMO B-hop has problems gaining points when he fights deffensive ... Fighters like Tarver mostly stay in one spot . They don't move forward that much and move backwards a bit ... Marciano just comes forward ... Yeah , maybe B-hop can avoid him but if he doesn't land anything while doing so he is not going to win rounds ...
I think Hopkins actually outboxes him for a while, but despite ernard's ultra-cautious approach the size diffenece (which is actually not very big but considerable nevertheless) would tell and his punches would break Hops down eventually
I also think Hopkins could out box him for a few rounds but it wouldnt take long for the train that is Marciano to steam roll him, KO within 10.
At last a matchup for Marciano vs. a modern fighter where a size differance is not a handycap. Marciano by knockout, sooner or later(probably sooner).
