Will you be doing the Round by Round, Illu? I can't watch the fight since I need to report for work at 10:30 PM tonight, but I'll try to come here and read the round by round instead. Is there any other fight that will be televised before the main event?

Tonight will be a win-win for me either way. I dislike Clottey, so if Cotto beats him down I'll be happy. On the other hand, while I dont dislike Cotto, its always so fun to see a Boricua get upset at the Garden, so a part of me wants to Clottey to win too.

The only good thing that would come from Cotto losing is that Money and Pac would fight each other (If Floyd beats JMM of course). Cotto is the only other option for each. If Clottey wins i can see Shane fighting him in front of about 200 people.

I dont think Mosley has any interest in fighting anybody except Pac, Floyd, or a Cotto rematch. If Clottey wins... I wouldnt be surprised if we end up seeing Clottey-Berto.

I know Shane only wants to fight Floyd or Pac. Thats why he needs Cotto to win tonight. It's possible that Floyd or Pac fight Cotto instead of each other than the guy not fighting Cotto fights Shane. At worst for Shane he can rematch Cotto. If Clottey beats Miguel, Floyd and Pac or JMM and Pac have really no choice but to fight each other. Shane isn't going to generate the money these guys want.

3-0 Mayol for ineffective aggression on my scorecard

3-0 Calderon on judges scorecard for being in NYC, being the champion and doing nothing.

4-0 Mayol for being the aggressor and outlanding Calderon 2-1 in round four. I have no doubt Calderon will win this 12-0.

Calderon is clashing heads and cut again. Seems to be his exit plan, if sh*t isn´t going his way. And again.

Good 5th round for Calderon, who pressed the action to bank the round in case of a technical stoppage.

    4-1 Mayol.

Calderon not throwing any punches, body language suggests Calderon wants out on the nasty gash on his forehead.

Fight is stopped, we are going ot the scorecards. I have it 59-55 Mayol.

You know Mayol was doing well to get a draw. I have no problem with the draw. It was obvious that Calderon had no intentions to fight on, although the deep gash high left on his forehead, was barely bleeding and not interfering with his vision. He knew he had to force the stoppage, because Mayol won the 6th round big and would have continued to take rounds imho.

Jim is on crack! Clottey shouldnt be mentioned in the same sentence as Quartey, and Nelson.

But I guess since we never got to see Tito-Quartey... we get a VERY poor man's version of that fight tonight.
