I actually posted the round, not to suggest that it was in FACT the best round so far this year, but to illustrate that:

a) It's a MYTH that it was a boring fight
b) It's a MYTH that all Mayweather did was run

In that round you saw both men having a true battle...Mayweather responding to Oscar's pressure by rocking him...Oscar battling back with combinations....Mayweathe responding with power shots and actually forcing Oscar onto the back foot.

Very good round...typical of most of the fight.

The 10th was his best round from what I remember. This round looked like what I thought the whole fight would look like.

REED is equally as enthusiastic about Floyd as you are and even HE wasn't impressed by Floyd.

It wasn't a bad fight, but it wasn't great either.

It was a "good" fight at best.

For you to submit ANY round as a "round of the year" candidate is unbelievable.

 

If you want to see a good tactical defensive boxing match, pull out a copy of Leonard vs Benitez.

Toss this fight out.

The only thing "great" about this fight is the amount of money it made.

 

Actually...I was the FIRST to say that Floyd wasn't Floyd that night. He could have performed better. but I'm merely pointing out that he wasn't "boring" as the idiot haters are suggesting (I'm hoping that you're not one of them)

Of course it wasn't boring but haters are haters and when you start a thread like this you only give them more material to spew their hatred. This fight was good but far from great and there isn't a round in this fight that is close to "round of the year" quality.

 

Actually, I created the thread title in order to draw attention to the thread. Now that I have everyone's attention.,...my real point isn't that it is in FACT the round of the year...but that it shows thatFloyd wasn't just running from Oscar like some are suggesting and that it was in fact an entertaining fight.
