I seriously doubt that the UFC would put Aldo-McGregor and Rousey-Cyborg on the same card.

Either Tito Ortiz is full of shit or Tito Ortiz is full of shit.

Dana White thinks Rousey-Cyborg could do 2 million buys. It makes no sense to put it as a co-main event with another fight sure to drive huge buys on its own.

Until the UFC announces, don't believe it. Plus, won't Cyborg die getting down to 135? LOL.

I read rumors that Aldo / McGregor was going to be on the New Years card on January 2. The UFC has stacked the New Years card before with several great fights on the same PPV.

Ronda / Cyborg in December would make a crazy amount of money if it happens. I'd buy it no matter what the rest of the card looked like.

If Cyborg was serious about going to 135 for the belt, as she claimed last year, why would she let herself balloon up so much in between fights? If you want to make a weight intelligently, you keep yourself within striking range or you run the risk of being super drained come fight time---like Vince Phillips having to lose 40lbs and then having nothing left against Terronn Millett.

Cyborg's been saying for at least a year that she wants to fight Rousey. If so, why the fuck does she let herself get so heavy?

She's 175 making 145, and she wants to fight a 135lber? Yes, Rousey is a 135lber. She might have fought heavier earlier in her career, but this is her optimum weight and she looks rather round-faced and still perhaps retaining water even when she fights.

Is Cyborg going to go back to Invicta and fight for less cash afterwards? She needs to get it together.

I love this "he said, she said" deal between Dana and Cyborg's team.

I'm not sure if I believe either side.

I love the idea of Tate-Rousey and Cyborg-Nunes on the Dec 3rd card. If would let Cyborg prove she can make 135 and beating Nunes would earn her a title shot.

Interestingly enough Rousey actually fought at a weight class higher than Cyborg before

Well she fought at 145 4 times. But one of them was a catch weight at 150.

Did you see the fight? Nunes almost stopped Zingano a couple of times in the first round. But Zingano is a beast.

Either of them beat Cyborg at 135 in my opinion.

Yeah i saw the fight. She got stopped again. She has beaten nobody of any significance. And has been beaten by three people Ronda destroyed in seconds combined. 55 seconds it took ronda to beat all three of the Nunes opponents. Im not impressed with her.

She has beaten McMann which is a top 3 win for Tate and did it more easily... She is more vulnerable to being stopped herself, though.

McMann has been a real disappointment. I had high hopes for her. She has shown nothing. I respect your opinions, you say McMann, and i respectfully reply with who has mcmann beaten?

I do agree with this. McMann, with her very solid wrestling background, has not been as good as it looked like she could be.

I think McMann and Tate are about the same caliber. If they fought 100 times, they'd be very close to an even number of wins.

That being said, Amanda Nunes basically ended McMann with a single right hand. That's still an impressive win.

Who do you think gets a shot at the Rousey-Tate winner? Is Nunes next or Holms?

My opinion is flawed because I haven't seen Cyroid since she looked so sloppy in beating Carrano, but I would also pick Zingano over Cyroid. Not sold on Nunes, but I'd guess there are others who would beat her too. Rousey is a clear favorite.

I mean if nunes sits around and waits maybe. But if she fights someone, i cant be certain she will win. Holms and nunes could be a possibility and maybe the winner gets the fight. holms is fighting at a snails pace and should be fighting every 2 months IMO, if she is going to be ready for the likes of rousey.

I think Tate destroys Mcmann every time, because mcmann hasnt shown to learn from her mistakes and tate usually does.

Mcmann was winning rd 2 till that gullotine counter by tate in the final seconds. Sure, tate dominated the third to win the fight but she got busted up in the first round. Tate is fun to watch and knows how to adapt but she how much longer can she last? Can't remember the last time she ever dominated an opponent for three rounds. As for mcmann, shes been wrestling since youth and is now almost 35. Ronda was only like 21 when she won a medal in the olympics and was still young enough by the time she transitioned to mma

I really think Nunes would be too much for Holms at this point. I think Holms can get to a point where she would be the favorite but you hit the nail on the head. She has to fight more frequently. I think Holly and the UFC are scared of her losing that 0 before they cash in with Rousey.

I haven't heard Zingano's named mentioned in any upcoming bouts. She is the clear # 2 fighter in the division. I would love to Zingano and Julianna Pena square off. It might be too soon for Pena but I'd still love to see it.

I always forget about pena. I think she's pretty good. one thing I like about her is that she DOMINATES her opponents. I think her vs. holm is an intriguing matchup. holm doesn't seem to have much fire power, but knows how to create distance and utilize her boxing. that and she seems very patient.

I cant list her as #2 after that beating. Im still of the opinion that had that fight not been stopped against Tate, Tate might have pulled a win against zinganao.

What beating? Zingano's only loss was quick and painless. No beating involved.

But Tate took a hellacious beating against Zingano. If that fight wasn't stopped Tate would have taken real damage. Zingano wasn't going anywhere. As usual, she was getting stronger while Meisha broke just like she did against Rousey.

Meisha is smart. She does learn and adjust. And I think she has real drive to be the best. But she breaks. It happened against both Zingano and Rousey. You can't fix that. All she can hope for is not to be put in that situation.

Who could possibly be ahead of Zingano for the # 2 spot? Certainly not Meisha. She was brutally stopped by Zingano. No way in the world she should be ranked higher.

I just cant understand how you can say Tate broke against Rousey in the first fight when she simply was caught in an Armbar. I just dont think the fight with tate/Cat should have been stopped based on Tate's history of pulling off wins. She would have been just fine.

I certainly would put Miesha at #2. So do most rankings in the sport. She has won 4 in row and climbed the ladder. Cat has had two fights in the past 2 years. one of them was a win against an opponent who hasn't beaten anyone and the other was a 14 second loss to the champ.
