I almost hope Sheika wins. Maybe THAT would finally convince Roy to retire.

But unfortuntely, Sheika sucks.. and not only does Sheika suck.. but he's shot as well.

Roy will kick his ass, will which motivate Roy to CONTINUE fighting... sadly.

I hope so.... but I doubt it.

Roy is so shot right now, that even ordinary guys like Froch, Bika, and Pascal would probably beat him at this point. And thats pretty sad.

this is quite a quandry. I don't care to watch jones jr fight, let alone pay for it, but I always enjoy seeing sheika pummelled.

Jones' worst voluntary opponent since before he had a title?

I don't mind him fighting someone he can beat, but ppv for fighting Sheika? No f'in way. Unless it's the opening bout on a ppv card, I guess.

Roy isnt shot..you are overdoing it

He still has great stamina and speed

Now if you want to say he is past his prime then i would agree

If Roy fights the way he did against Calzaghe he will kick the shit out of Sheika under 6

    cmon now

I said Jones was past his prime...but if Roy Jones was shot..calzaghe would have had him out of there in under 6 rounds.....shot fighters get destroyed..embarassed...they look slow..can't pull the trigger...can't take punches...

    Roy doesnt look like that

rj vs Shieka will do no more then 80,000 buys, probably much less. It's not like rj will make any money fighting on an indipentent ppv.

Everything you said above is how Roy looked vs Joe C. He looked good in the first round and after that didn't do anything else to win the fight. Barely went to the body and barely used uppercuts to set things up. Was just head hunting all night and once that didn't work he didn't have no plan B and got embarassed.

I had Jones winning the first 2 rounds and then another round later in the fight where i thought jones clinched it with a nice shot at the bell which had calzaghe smiling...i don't know if someone can remember which round that was

i think we tend to remember jones being somewhat like superman and we overreact a bit......the fight against calzaghe turned out to be one sided in the second half of the fight but overrall it was a good fight

if that version of roy shows up against sheika...he is gonna hurt him

Jones is shot to ribbons and was embarassed by a guy (Calzaghe) who is a good level at least below what RJJ was in his prime. Calzaghe stopped trying to hurt Roy after he opened him up midway through; you could even SEE him feeling sorry for a guy he clearly respects. Are you mad?

Why Jones is fighting again is beyond me. He can't be skint, surely, and there is NO OTHER VALID FUCKING REASON for him to be in any boxing ring ever again.

This shit is becoming almost Evander-esque...

If it turns out to be a farewell fight, then i don't have anything against it....he deserves it, as do the Pensacola fans.

Sheika would be a perfect opponent for that.
