Come on, he's pushing 40:nono: He spends a lot of time in the sun and heat in Florida, that will age the shit out of you anyways.
Maybe he'll drop the "Jr" and be the new Roy Jones Sr ld: He's delusional if he thinks he's gonna be at the top again. He gotta beat hanshaw, Johnson and tarver. The same probability holyfield has to unify...
You spend so long at the top that you just feel you can make it back there easily. The problem is that the longer it takes Roy, the harder it gets. Its almost at negative returns point for Roy. I think he risks getting hurt.
Just the way you didn't show here till like 08:30....though you and, uh, one of your dimes might have had a late night!!
Everyone's talking about how Roy Jones is not the man he was ten years ago...well I spoke to your wife and she said that you're not the man you were TWO years ago!
Most people were thinking this after the first Tarver fight.. when he could have retired 'undefeated' as would have solidified a spot in the top 5 goat.. with every additional fight he weakens his legacy in the eyes of his detractors.
Roy Looks More FAT than OLD,N REED's Opinion...@ Least N Those Pics... Generally,the LINES N Roy's Face R VERY Prevalent...N those Pics,his Face Looks Kinda PUFFY... & Look @ the Size of Hanshaw's FIST,Compared to Roy's:eeeek: REED
IMO..either Roy retires or he fights Tarver again and redeem himself from the embarrasement of the cowardly showing in their third fight.
if,If,IF Roy Gets Past Hanshaw,REED thinks he should Shoot for Glencoffe Next... That is,if Roy Still has his LEGS & FOOTWORK Left... Even Though Glencoffe KO'ed Roy even WORSE than Tarver did,REED thinks Glencoffe has LESS of a "Boogeyman" Factor N Roy's Mind...Stylistically,it's an EASIER Fight for Roy,than Tarver is... AFTER that,Fight Tarver Again...THEN,Get ANY Crusierweight Title & Call it a Career... Seems like ALOT on Paper, but if Roy did that (Especially @ his Age),he'd Restore ALOT of his Lost Prestige... REED
Roy would not have been a top 5 GOAT with his resume'. Sorry, but people weren't ranking him that high even before the loss.
I can see why you'd think that Johnson is an easier fight, stylistically than Tarver...given Antonio's advanatges (over Johnson) in terms of height, speed, reach and power... Logically, it makes sense.. "However" Johnson is in fact the more difficult fight for Jones simply because it's VERY difficult to discourage him, he's tougher than Tarver and more agressive. Believe it or not...Jones has a better chance against Tarver.
No I meant top5 not in any particular weight range. Anyone who doesnt rate him top5 all time at 168-175 is ridiculously biased.
Roy already sealed his legacy. Roy losing at this age won't downgrade his legacy. He is one of the most amazing boxers ever to lace m up.
