They posted up an 11-0 for Royce's MMA record......I wonder if they ever saw the Sakuraba fight....If they're going to be that way, they should have at least posted his "UFC record", so they could ignore the forfiet against Howard and the draw with Shammy
Are you sure they didn't show his MMA record before he came to the ring ain't it like 13-2-2 or something like that.
I saw 11-0:nixweiss: Seems to me like Dana White was trying to hype up Royce in order to make Hughes look even better.:jester:
Yeah I don't think they count the Howard fight since they didn't fight even though it's still a loss:nixweiss: Yeah if they would have use his real MMA record people would have said "fuck Matt didn't do anything that hasn't been done before".
I don't know if any of you know about this but after Royce left the UFC he was chocked the fuck out by a guy named Wallid Ismail in a no time limit jiu-jitsu tournament in Brazil.Royce didn't tap either he passed out.
Yeah, I have that on tape. Did you notice Wallid Ismail in the crowd saturday night during the Gracie/Hughes UFC?
True, but UFC is mainly geared towards what Dana perceives as casual fans, newbies and...I dare say it, idiots.:nixweiss: But it's kinda true because if you notice, 90% of the crowd is booing when 2 fighters aren't stomping the shit out of eachother. That 90% consists of the type of fan I just described. Mainly blood-thirsty drunks! The other 10% consist of fans who actually know about MMA and can understand the science and psychology taking place in the cage. Dana White is marketing mainly to that 90%.
That happens more often than you think.....There are all kinds of submission tounaments all over the planet, like the abu dabi stuff I started a thread about a few days ago. All of these guys lose at one time or another in something like that
