John Ruiz was the better fighter but head to head I see Andy's quick fists prevailing

How do you figure John was better? He was an awful fighter who did nothing but hold. His foot-work was shit. His chin was terrible. There's no rational case to say John was better.

He defeated a bunch of guys who I think would have beaten Andy, that's why. Aesthetics are a different matter

Andy really sucks. Johnny wasn't good either, but Johnny probably wouldn't lose to somebody as sucky as Parker.

I see no reason why John couldn't pull this off. That fat fuck would just plod forward and eat John's jab.

But he cheated like hell to do so. Holy threw fights with him to get the rematches.

That's up for the refs to decide. He wasn't DQd, he won the fights.

Also I don't quite buy your theory. Wouldn't it make more sense had Holy won the rubber match then, in which his performance was the poorest?

Johnny boy was really sucky, but he was also rather good at the same time.

John Ruiz wasn’t very good but he knew how to make a fight ugly. I think fat Andy would not be able to cope with his style and he’d eventually get KO’d late.

John Ruiz by UD....The Quiet man style was cancer to the eyes but he beat some decent heavy with that tumor...Rahman, Holyfield, Oquendo, Golta, McCline....questionable decision some sure but he was doningated by any of them..and he got robbed against that tall hairy fuck Valuev or whatever...

Johnny Boy wouldn't go for the KO here... he would try his hardest to lay down the stink in an attempt to not lose, and judging by Andy's last fight... it would work! Johnny boy wins a horrible decision
